No, the military does not look down upon those that disagree with them, only those that work against the common goals. The city does not want to support the country's need of recruitment however fully expects to be protected when necessary. Why, because it is the liberal and unfortunatly, increasingly popular American way:Give me my share but don't ask me to contribute. Ask some of your older Vietnam Vets what it was liked to get spit on when they returned from the war. Same thing in my opinion.

Do you honestly believe that:

1. There were many recruits from San Francisco to begin with?

2. The city's efforts to ban recruitment will really stop anyone considering enlisting from doing it?

I suspect that most of the Bay Area recruits come from Oakland anyhow (and not all of the Bay Area is SF "liberal"). So what are we really talking about here? San Fransisco is really f'd up. Really? You're kidding? I had no idea!
