I know this has been asked before, just looking for any updates on hiring at Skywest and the ORD base. What are the chances of getting ORD based if hired in the next 6 months? How long are pilots on reserve given the current hiring environment?

Thanks!

Just announced classes including approx 400 newhires through the rest of this year.

If you are hired into the jet, ORD is the most junior domicile (DEN is next) and you will probably have no problem getting it out of groundschool.

If you get hired into the Brasilia, enjoy flying it up and down the California coast for a year, then transition into the jet after your 12 month seatlock and you'd probably have no problem getting ORD and will hold a line right out of class.
