You just don't understand do you. And No-Friggin-Way does ALPA get on Skywest' property. Sorry man if you were counting on them to integrate the two and make your job at ASA better. I dont care if you make 10 more an hour at every step up the ladder. The Skywest pilot will bring home way more than you and have a better QOL. It is great being at an airline and not hating management. Good luck though. ALPA SUCKS

Can you answer this question? Who negotiated PBS for you? Do you know what it cost your pilot group?

There should be no question at all.. our ASA pay rate on 70 seat captain is higher than your captain 900 rate and we are working on a 1998 contract.. 1 9 freaking 9 8

Our FO rates on the 700 FROM 1998 are better than your 900 rates today.. $43 vs $41

Although you dont like it, Jerry bought us, and now we are in bed together...We need to be on the same page and that means you need to vote...

It would be great if you vote in alpa because it will be IMPOSSIBLE for OUR owner JA to whipsaw you and me to get the cheapest product..

If you do not vote in alpa.. ASA rates will always be one dollar higher than skywest...(like price is right $1)

Ummm, hate to point this out, but our -700 rate was a letter of agreement signed in 2002, not 1998. This was well after Comair set the brenchmark for the -700, which was in 2001.

True but doesn't Skywest also get fairly large bonus checks that ASA doesn't get that actually pushes the W2's well over ASA's hourly pay? Just saying yes hourly is less at Skywest but at the end of the year a Skywest pilot will be ahead, plus no ALPA dues every month adds up to alot more in their pockets.

So you would rather have a bonus plan, tied to the airlines performance, at an airline than a secured hourly rate?

I also understand that they have PBS? How's that working out on the QOL?

I'd rather have whatever compensates me the most.

In a survey of our pilots, the large majority indicated that PBS has been an improvement over the old system.

Exactly. Bonuses tied to airline performance can disappear as quickly as they are created. But oh yeah, the Skywest guys believe in their management. That's funny. I believe in my management at XJT as well but I like having my $$$ tied to a contract. What you people don't understand is that if SAPA does such a good job for you then your local ALPA MEC will do an even better job for you. Just because you are an ALPA carrier doesn't mean that you have to hate your management.

ASA pay is and will be much higher

If you notice here are the current proposals for ASA. The ASA pilots already have a higher rate on the CR7 and it will be higher WITH duty rigs and Profit sharing added to that higher rate.

Some might say yeah these are just proposals, but if I'm not mistaken ASA MEC said no to the Companies last offer and hence said they are at the bottem line. I suspect when the deal is cut it will be very close the unions last proposal. Not to mention union pilots always have the ability to say NO.

And that survey was done by SAPA? The SAPA that is 100% funded by Skywest?

Not hating management and not having ALPA have nothing to do with eachother.

However, I do believe ALPA is likely to be voted in. I am sick of being nickled and dimed to death. Just last week I was told that I couldn't pick up a trip for JR man pay because it was on a vacation day. WHERE THE FK DID THAT COME FROM?!?! They just make stuff up, and I AM SICK OF IT! How many times do they arbitrarily change policy in labor's favor?

I like this airline, but I know it could be much better.

So then why didn't ask to speak to a supv or higher? Or talk to the MOD?
