There should be no question at all.. our ASA pay rate on 70 seat captain is higher than your captain 900 rate and we are working on a 1998 contract.. 1 9 freaking 9 8

Our FO rates on the 700 FROM 1998 are better than your 900 rates today.. $43 vs $41

Although you dont like it, Jerry bought us, and now we are in bed together...We need to be on the same page and that means you need to vote...

It would be great if you vote in alpa because it will be IMPOSSIBLE for OUR owner JA to whipsaw you and me to get the cheapest product..

If you do not vote in alpa.. ASA rates will always be one dollar higher than skywest...(like price is right $1)

Actually, Skywest pilots are the highest paid DCI pilots right now.... without ALPA. Even on the 700, Mesa, and PCL are less.... and they are ALPA...

IF ALPA gets it's $h!t together, then the Skywest pilots will join..... until then, they aren't falling for the BS.....

No, actually Continental Express pilots are the highest paid DCI pilots right now!

So you would rather have a bonus plan, tied to the airlines performance, at an airline than a secured hourly rate?

I also understand that they have PBS? How's that working out on the QOL?

www.,

Because of the current "portfolio" business plan, it is better to pay less in "hourly rates" and more in "bonus plans". Whether we like it or not, accept it or not, the fact is, flying is being put to bid and one of the factors being used is "pilot pay". This isn't ideal for us on the labor side, but ALPA screwed the pooch on this issue and it is now the "law of the land" so to speak...

Without changing this new "bidding" paradigm, our best chance of increasing our W2 is through "bonus plans".....

I agree that a fixed hourly rate is better, but unless we can change the bidding "portfolio concept", maybe we should look at other options.....

Not with the profit sharing plans and stock programs..... The hourly rates are within a dollar an hour and the Skywest bonus program is better....

As a side note, the only reason XJT is doing DCI flying is because they were outbid for CAL flying by CHQ and had to find a home for the airplanes.... The branded flying isn't working out all that well..... Competition is a b!tch...... The DCI flying was bid at cost without a profit.....

The Co-ex 401K match is far better, and I believe they have a defined benefit plan also...Skyw doesn't! They also have better trip/duty rigs and better benefits(vacation, medical, etc.), along with higher per diem too!
