Can anyone shed light on the skywest initial program:

Regs, company ops and systems class length.
Flight/sim based training in rj or bro.
Are all classes being assigned to rj, bro or both.
Total length of training from start to IOE.

Thanks,

no no no - you've got it all wrong

Day 1 - hair gel selection
Day 2 - ipod music down loading and ear piece wearing etiquette
Day 3 - spikey hair styling
Day 4 - how to convert our parents basement into your apartment so you can repay your 100K debt on 20K/year salary
Day 5 - how to explain to a girl your express 50-70 seater is a big jet
Day 6 - backpack selection
Day 7 - the finer points of arguing that your POS airline is better than some other pilots POS airline.

Bravo, sir. Bravo. Just a side note, this just made me realize how fine the line really is between comedy and tragedy.

Boy someone is a little bitter.... Ah yes, and the old crusty "mainwhine" pilot with the turkey neck, and the belly 6 inches over his waste is so much more attractive.

Tell me again, how did we and up with the RJ'S.

Also, I would have to go live with my parents if I came to your POS airline and sit right seat for those wages ( Airways pilot right )

Thank you again for lowering the bar

Day 1: Skywest Clown tries to justify all the benefits that Skywest pukes get from ALPA airlines.
Day 2: Skywest Clown asks you to convert to Mormon (if you're already not).
Day 3: Skywest Clown asks you to please NOT wear Cowboy Boots in the cockpit.

Okay, so I'm kidding...Day 2 actually doesn't happen until you pass your PC.

Heh, my first girlfriend tried to convert me. Something about them thinking black people are the devil doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

“But let them apostatize, and they will become gray-haired, wrinkled, and black, just like the Devil" (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 332

Had I anything to do with the negro, I would confine them by strict law to their own species, and put them on a national equalization" (Joseph Fielding Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 270; History of the Church, 5: 218; emphasis added).

"Thursday, 8--Held Mayor's court and tried two negroes for attempting to marry two white women: fined one $25, and the other $5" (ibid., 6: 210).

I wear earbuds...but no hair gel.

I've found that the airport terminal is freaking obnoxious and noise-polluted. I have these great silicone tipped earbuds that are almost as good as earplugs at blocking out noise...but let me listen to my iPod as well.

It works much better for me to be on the concourse listening to ambient, space or house music than listening to the din of airport people or those horrible electric cars.

I'd no sooner go in the airport terminal than I would walk out on the ramp amidst engines, APUs and other equipment without hearing protection.
