Was just curious if the Skywest group interviews posted on their website are truly interviews, or if they are more of a "career fair".

From what i hear, you see a presentation, take the APT and MECH APP tests, and complete the technical and HR portions of the interview. That is to say if they choose you at the beginning of the day. So all and all it is most of the interview. If you successfully complete these portions they will invite you to finish the interview in SLC. If you use the search feature of this board there is actually a ton of info on any questions that you might have.

Let me clear this up. I went to the open house in LAX. It was a company presentation followed by a quick HR interview with some mandatory FAA questions. After that they will either say good bye or give you a class date. I spent no more than ten minutes with a captain and got asked to go to SLC for an interview. No Tests or Technical.

Did you have the CRJ experience already (noting your profile)? That might have helped...

I think the meant to say Interview Date, to be scheduled for later in SLC where you will do the SIM and the remaining portions.

no atp or mechanical aptitude test at the most recent open houses (den, slc). like the others said: presentation, turn in resume, get called in for brief hr interview. then if all goes well from that (u have the mins, and don't totally come across as a moron during the few questions) you are given interview date for the rest of it (technical, the written tests, sim, crm scenario)

Sorry, let me rephrase what I said above. Invited to SLC for an interview, where they will conduct the tests, sim and tech portions. I wish it was that easy to get a class date.
