Mwa-ha-ha-ha!
But seriously, St. George has been beyond quiet since the ASA purchase announcement.
Either:
A) This is the new SkyWest (silence)
or
B) They are furiously busy working on something! (we just don't know what the 'something' is)

Sounds like United's premium service, which would be a good idea if DL would charge more for the seatsGeneral Lee said:or C) they are browning their shorts---knowing they will get nothing more and LIKE IT.
Even JA stated in that SLC article "If the DL pilots let us, we would like to fly 90 seaters for DL." Guess what JA?---NO!!!! Oh, but you can fly 90 seaters with 70 seats in them----with lie flat beds for frequent flyers, and 60" pitch for the other seats. Sounds comfy!!
Bye Bye--General Lee
Fly-n-hi said:************************* you prick. I was talking about our contract with Mesa. I've never hoped someone would lose their job.
I'll tell you what? Why don't you PM me with your name and we can meet up and talk about it?
You little chickensh!t loser.
propjockey said:Don't be so quick to knock it, General Lee. Personally, I think putting exPlus service (booked as first class, but really more of a business class experience) on RJs was one of the smartest things United has ever done. If you're going to put the few remaining high-dollar and/or loyal frequent fliers on an RJ for 3 hours, you at least might as well give them a nice place to sit. We've had a lot of people, even coming from the back of the plane, say what a nice experience it was (flying on the 700).
The 700 is a heck of a lot more comfortable than the 200 to begin with (can't speak for the 170, as I've never done more than tour one). The Economy Plus seating is pretty good, too. A lot more comfortable than a middle seat in a mainline plane.
Up to this point, all Big Delta has done is torture its regional frequent fliers by sticking them on miserable old CRJ-200s (or worse), or 70-seat 700s with no relief on space. 70 seats on a 900 with a big first class section might be just what the doctor ordered. Of course you have to charge enough for the seats to begin with, as Viper pointed out.

It's ok for you to wish that on Mesa pilots (by obvious implication), but you can't take a little of that back in return?
Hey . . . here's a more professional resolution: Parker WORKS WITH MESA over the next few years to IMPROVE SERVICE. Parker has the big stick . . . he should use it, rather than grit his teeth for years then dump Mesa.

blueridge71 said:Maybe it didn't occur to you, but USA/AWA goes out of business, Mesa will have effectively lost that contract and many of your pilots will have lost their jobs. If you're tied to a sinking ship, chances are that you'll go to the bottom as well.
Fly-n-hi said:Don't even go there, bro.
AWA has not hired as many pilots over the past 7-8 years while Mesa has so essentially I could say that we have lost jobs to you.
I want AWA flying done by AWA pilots. I don't care where you go. Besides, Mesa wouldn't lose anything. You would end up undercutting some other regional to fly for Northwest or American or XYZ airlines like you have been doing.
Here's a more professional solution: We get rid of you and do our own flying. That's the way it should be.
I wouldn't have anything to say about Mesa if it weren't for the fact that the planes say America West on the side.
Like I have said before I don't have anything against your people. I have something against your airline. I wish you luck but not at our expense.
You've chosen to work at an airline that has a terrible reputation. You've chosen to work at an airline that is run by one of the biggest A-holes in the industry. Then you act suprised or shocked when the rest of us have negative things to say about Mesa?
