Rock on. My sentiments exactly. Flight Attendants are not there for their looks, they are there for the safety. Just in case some of these Jerks forgot that tidbit of information. Everyone has a right to work. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's not what's on the outside that counts, it's what's inside, shall I go on? These arrogant pilots make me sick. And why are they picking on the regionals? Ever seen some of those lifer Delta F/A's?

Here's and observation that I am sure I will get blasted for...
Why do airlines paint or clean their aircraft, clean the cabins, have uniform standards, require haircuts, etc. etc. but have people in the cabin who are physically abhorent, rude, etc? If it's about a company's 'image', then why do they all not hire for that? I know it is for fear of lawsuits, but a company should be able to hire whoever they want to.
Call people sexist or call them what you will, but I'll bet most people would rather have some pretty young sweet thing back there. Not beula ballbreaker with an attitude.

That's a fabulous point - and if we are going to allow the doors open up front, then we should really get rid of the beer guts, chew (yuck) and sloppy appearance of the guys up front as well. Not to mention all the porn. (though I actually kind of enjoy that, personally. :blush: heh.)

After all, why should any CA or FO be subjected to another pilot who either: a) doesn't speak intelligently (i.e. conversational skill level beyond that of a 12 year old), and is a skinny, overly hormonal punk who thinks he is the hottest thing since sliced bread and the next "top gun" or b) is old, crusty, grumpy, fat, balding, bitter and hasn't kept himself up?

Maybe I want a "sweet young thang" (read: hottie boytoy) to look at up front. Besides... it's all about COMPANY IMAGE, right? The PAX can actually see through those windows into the flight deck, ya know. :laugh:

I think the SkyWest Flight attendants are pretty cute, even the olders ones!! Look at Delta, United and ASAs flight attendants....wow, scary!!
