I'm just curious what might make you think the Skyw pilots have any power to do anything about this?
Unfortunately, THEY DON'T!

They can't do anything about it. BUT, They don't have to bid ATL. They don't have bid the -900. They'll get junior-manned, but at least it would be a statement.
Trojan and Enuff:
We can't really do anything. The NMB has to authorize any job action. In the mean time we are professional pilots.
~~~^~~~
You're kidding, right? No matter how much somebody avoids flying the 900, somebody will end up flying it. They may be junior, but that doesn't give you guys the right to give us a hard time when we get to ATL. I've been here almost seven years. I didn't get the choice of, "Hmmm... I don't want to peave off the ASA pilots, so maybe I'll go work somewhere else." WE DON'T HAVE A CHOICE!!! Just like you guys don't have a choice where you fly. Really, I'm going to bid avoid flying to ATL because of the welcoming committee... I could care less what equipment I'm flying at this point. If I get junior-manned to ATL, should I where a little pin that says, "Don't be mean to me. I got junior manned." Would that help?
So you're in the CPs office at least once a week? What for? You like looking at Connaly's suspenders that much? Man, thats weird.That's the main problem of our current negotiations! Until our pilots stop being a bunch of pansies, we will get the same treatment at the negotiating table for the foreseeable future. My respect for this pilot group is diminishing by the day due to this lack of action. If you are not in the Chief Pilot's office at least once a week, then you are part of the problem! And don't give me any of this "professional" crap; we are way past that. If you treated your employees this way, what would you as a business owner expect from them? Ask yourself that question!
The problem I have with Skywest pilots is their lack of understanding why they actually enjoy the work rules and treatment at Skywest.You're kidding, right? Yeah, hope all of your Skywst peeps are paying attention because the kool aid bowl is about EMPTY!! We have all screwed ourselves by not merging lists!
Eric - A wag of the finger is deserved when one group secures an airplane from another group as a result of concessionary pay rates.
A tip of the hat is deserved when pilots are offered airplanes in exchange for concessions and choose to maintain the standards of their profession at their personal cost.
Like any alpa carrier could do anything....~Unfortunately, THEY DON'T!![]()
FYI - announced to the Training Dept - growth at ASA is over. Only hiring for attrition the rest of the year and training numbers being reduced.
