Got the SkyWest Annual Report in the mail today. They said they have 17 or 19 firm orders for CRJ-900's for ASA and/or SkyWest. 900 rumor confirmed? Not good... These rates need to be finalized.

I hope you guys are going to get a pay raise to fly those things. You(skywest) already fly the 700 for the same price that others fly the 200 for. No regional should be flying the 900, but it is inevitable that someone will so at least stand up and demand a big pay raise. Just remember if they don't want to pay you guys/gals more money then don't fly them. All the luck trying to negotiate that!

Sure they have them on order. They can order some 777's if they want to. Doesn't mean they can use them anywhere. They're just being hopeful they can use them IF Delta relaxes their scope. Right now they can only use them with 70 seats in them.

Hopefully our pilots get their stuff together. Flying 90s for 50 pay... we're gonna be hating life! You could just start calling us Freedom! I'll just stay on the Brasilia, thanks!

Yea SkyWest!! Yea!! Bigger airplanes at the regional level!! This is going to be real good for everyone trying to move up to bigger and better things!!

(I seriously hope you can detect the sarcasm.)

Apparently operational costs are 5% more than the -700. Delta reimburses direct operating costs, so Delta must have approved this transaction and will probably get at least the 5% out of the premium yield passengers they hope to attract.

Of course Delta could make more money at the same cost selling 20 more seats (about 25% more revenue) which would help the Delta pilots offset some of their pay crunch, but the Delta pilots don't seem to understand that Delta earning more revenue is good for the pilots too.

Either way the 900 is coming. I don't care how many seats it has in it.

Aparently these are going to be 705s not 900 and they are 100% for sure coming to atlanta. The thing that isn't for sure is who will be flying them, I may be likely that skywest will be flying them out of atlanta. Talk about a knife in the back.

I guess they will fly them for United? We won't allow it most likely, and even JA said in some SLC article that "if the Delta pilots let us, we would like to fly....." Atleast he knows who will allow it and who won't. I won't vote for it, nope. I have a feeling atleast 50.1% won't vote for it either.... United may love them.

100% sure, eh? Riiiiiight. I guess they will have only 70 seats---with lie flat sleeper seats to Valdosta. Awesome. Our Medallion flyers will love a lie-flat seat for a 30 minute nap to Valdosta or maybe Knoxville.

The 900 with 70 seats? Sounds like they will be highly profitable...... You will have to take HUGE pay cuts to make that work. Maybe there will be more room without the extra seats for luggage......You guys need to work on that you know....

I bet atleast 50.1% will vote NO. "Relax in scope is a Big NOPE."

Sorry guys cats outta the bag. Resistance is futile. I don't care about planes being at mainline anymore. I no longer drink the mainline koolaid. The more planes that come our way the better. More planes = more upgrades = movement = more money = Better QOL. Im through caring about what happens at mainline. They certainly don't care about us.

I was wrong...

...I had the over/under of the "General" responding to this thread crying about scope at 12. I lost a few bucks on that one. D'Angelo, you da man. I'm feelin' your attitude. This is a phfukin' war, why would they give a shnit about us? Either way though, our pay agreement leaves us looking like a bunch of chumps, 50-99 seats or CL-65 (which didn't pass) means we get the same pay for the 900/705 no matter how many seats they put in it. If you thought other pilots were pissed at us for the 70 for 50 pay crap, wait til it's 76-90 seats.

You will be liquidated too if we are. And, I won't vote for a TA that would allow you to fly larger RJs. Nope. But, I really would like you to try to interview here someday if we still have an airline---I would love to be a part of that interview. It would be hillarious. Oh wait, you no longer drink the kool-aid. Oh well, next....... How many more planes do you think you will get? Shuttle America would probably get more 70 seaters----they have a better product.

Only 12 responses? You really don't know me then.... It is Very Very unlikely you will ever see a plane with that many seats at Comair---76-90. Nope. It is VERY likely that we would vote that down. And, most of the new growth in DCI regionals--will probably go to Mesa or Shuttle America---70 seaters at SA, and other growth at Mesa--50 seaters probably.

No kid, we just don't care what happens to YOU! I'm looking forward to the day you lose your job!

:rolleyes:GL and 73plt...don't get your panties in a wad! Dangelwhore will say anything to get a rise out of us. He is totally full of crap and still feeling the SJS!!
SKYWPilot...I hope that you guys get it together also and get the UNION on property. That would give us all more bargaining power, because if you guys got the UNION, JA would most likely merge the lists. Good Luck!

GL...getting tired of your smart@ss comments about the RJ's. They made a tremendous amount of money for you guys for 4 plus years when you owned ASA and COMAIR. Stop throwing the Sh@t around the monkey cage DAWG!!

Whats happening at Delta now is what happened at US Airways 3 years ago! We were suppose to get the 705's, 86 seater converted to 70 seats! It was thrown out there to bust the scope.
It is kinda entertaining watching everything unfold at Delta like it happened at US Airways. Fuel is expected to make another big jump this summer.... This will be one big bumpy road for Delta!

Cant we fly them for someone else or do we still fall under that "cant have anything greater than 70 seats for any carrier if we fly for Delta" rule?

General, lay off the attacks. Your acting like a little 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum. We got it, nothing greater than 70 seater's for Sky/ASA and RJ's are pure evil. Got it, now just quit with the digs, it's getting old.:smash:

You gotta remember that General Lee is a Delta Mainline Pilot with absolutely no life! He is proud of his 6,000 posts, mostly posting in the Regional section were he loves to troll around and stir it up!
General...... We do get it!!!
And you'll get yours soon!
