:rolleyes:900's for 50 seat pay! Now THAT is GREAT!!! No SJS over there....right?

Question for the Skywst crews. Doesn't it tick you off that you have gone over three years for your .....offer....from JA and yet you still make no pay increases? I mean, record profits and you guys are okay with sub-standard pay. Yeah, I know, you make more than we do....for now! What is the ryme or reason. I KNOW that the Kool-Aid is NOT THAT GOOD! I mean lets face it....we fly freakin RJ's for H@ll sakes!

Not trying to flame here, but if you have the hours and you know people elsewhere, why don't you move on to Air Tran, SWA and Jet Blue? I know they're all hiring... Why do people stay at the regionals and b!tch if they have the ability to get out? I hear upgrade time at Air Tran is 2-3 years...

I ain't stayin' that much longer myself because I can't stand the lack of respect and the constant moaning from everyone in this biz.......

Bend over and.......

Hows the 30 grit feel?

Should have been who's? These were never firm going to ASA, if that's what you're implying--at no time in the past year have I seen anything other than rhetoric to sustain that notion.

Now, the 70s in SLC are yours, and quite frankly that blows (both from an ASA perspective and that of a SKYW guy watching SKYW snag them from your)...that's what I would be up in arms about, not something I never had. Honestly, if we needed all these people (given the hiring numbers), I don't know why SKYW didn't just offer ASA (SLC) folks the option of coming over to the dark side with a handshake, even at a loss of seniority. Don't know if any are taking the long route to interview, but I think that is a slap in the face for folks under the same Corporate Umbrella--training costs could have been minimal, people already located where they want to be, and staffing would have been up to snuff. If the Company was going to screw you, at least they could have offered a tenable option (especially for those who actually moved out to MoTown)...

TOMCT: Actually, we haven't gone over 3 years as the 'TA' addressed the first 18, so it more like 18 months, but 'Yes' to your question, and your nonexistent point?

Their problem is that they can do nothing about their situation, and they have to eat a shnit sandwich with their poop soup.

:DRod, my app is out everywhere and hopefully I will be gone before the end of the year. I would GLADLY get out of here! Airtran for me, is not an option. Neither is JB. Everyone else is wide open though.....thanks for your concern and good luck with your endeavors.

Sorry, 18 months. My apologies for the wrong time frame. How is my point "nonexistent?"

Bye Bye--General Lee

General,

If things are so bad at Skywest why do you suppose people keep flocking to go to work there? Maybe its because they have a growing company, good management, profitability, opportunity for the employees, no furloughs or givebacks, and the list goes on and on.

People always have the ability to change a situation they don't like. I am sure that some do as they move on to what they perceive to be a better job elsewhere. But there are also a growing number of people at ALL regional carriers who are content with the job and life they have.

I respect your decision to work where you do and make the hard decisions you have had to make in terms of concessions. You made them (i assume) because you valued what you had and were willing to make some sacrifices because overall you still had enough left to make it worth it to you.

I suggest you quit trying to convince people Skywest is not a good place to be. The general population of pilots have already voted and the answer is PLENTY want to be there.

Best of luck to you.

All you have to do is read your own Company's Press Releases
SkyWest has announced plans to purchase 22 Bombardier CRJ700s. The contract converts 18 existing SkyWest CRJ200 aircraft on backlog, which was assumed by SkyWest as part of the Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) takeover, plus the addition of four new orders.
SkyWest also retains a firm order for 15 CRJ700 on Bombardier's backlog from a previous transaction.

Gee.

I get to fly a bigger airplane for 50 seat pay.

What a deal!!! Where do I sign up at.

take them all,

Buzzsaw

Good Company
good management
good pilot group
CRAPPY pay aggreement.

at least it's not going to be 90 seats for that plane, just 90 seat size.

Because it is basically the only west coast regional. That is why people continue flocking there. And "well yeah, it sure does beat flight instructing." Grow a pair Skywest.

50 seat pay for a 76 seater. Heck, that's much better than 50 seat pay for a 90 seater. Yeah and before you try to talk trash about Republic and our pay, our 175's will be flown for 90 seat pay rates.

You mean besides American Eagle (LAX hub) Mesa (PHX hub) Horizon (SEA hub) right?

Good point Theo...wait a min, how many people are in prison for selling crack? Guess things aren't so bad there either...

...serving 10 to 20-repeat offender. (no concessions, flexible hours, great oportunity for advancement, etc.) Will NOT sell two rocks for the price of one- disreguard previous posts-guess there is a difference... ;)
