Going back...
Congrats to those going back, first of all!
What you do will be totally dependent on whether they recall _more_ than that - if it's only 10, almost guaranteed most/all will be on reserve.
Without more recalls and lack of attrition, yes - reserve for a LONG time. A year or more.
Good grief - first year F.O. pay, if what I read is true (don't have the TA in front of me), in that F/O's took at .22 cent pay cut, that puts the hourly rate at $17.53/hr, 75 hr guarantee. There were work rule increases (block or better, cancellation pay, etc.) but the one thing I don't remember is hourly per diem or not. If you get hourly per diem, that will boost your paycheck by a good $200 - $300 per check, assuming that you have a line. On reserve, at least it'll make the 5am wake up calls a little easier to deal with. Someone who has the TA in front of them should answer that. Assuming the worst, though, no hourly PD - on reserve, after benefits and all were taken out, I _took home_ around $1100/month.
And as far as the future of the company...well, when they recalled the first time they said they waited so long because they didn't want to turn around and furlough the folks that they recalled, which they ended up doing nine months later anyways. Things appear to headed in the right direction but I'd be trolling for a better job the _entire_ time I was there, at least to have your options open. No way to go through life, but if they only plan on recalling 10, you will be at the bottom of the seniority list for a long time.
It _is_ a 121 job, though, and if you don't have to sell the farm and mortgage the kids to do it, have fun - the airplane is a great one to fly. I count myself lucky to have flown it!
Take care,
