seems the maint at skywest has gone way down over the yrs.company needs to take a proactive approach to maint. stop taken short cuts to make money. realize your fleet and your ppl make money.stop deferring things to get aircraft out on time. serouisly that bonus isnt that big of deal.

I never did hear what caused the collapse in ATL last year. I wonder if we went to a cheaper vendor with landing gear parts like we did with the temperature sensors a few years ago. Of course the FAA is going to be all over us and skywest now probably.

Yep, built like a brick shat house.

Strike-through: "a brick" and "house."

When does the partial-flap, gear-up landing, with shattered outer windscreen panes happen?

Guys, we had the same problem with the flaps just a few short years ago. Flaps were failing at a rate of 1 per day, now gear are failing to fully deploy. It goes from one issue to another. The flap issue seems to be somewhat rectified based on airspeed deployment, perhaps this too shall pass. Or bombardier will buy the FAA a bass boat and unlimited trout catching abilities in canada and this will all be done too...I dunno
