No, you cannot commute, Yes, you have to live within an hour of MIA. Not cheap anymore in FL nor are some of the areas safe.

Be afraid. Very afraid.

Instead of just throwing in a meaningless comment, please explain why one should be afraid. Did you/do you work there? Do you know someone that works/worked there?

Stay away... I have several friends there.. all anxiously looking for the exit door.

Ok... I'll bite.

no work rules, pilot pushing, and very, very, very long duty days that stretch the imagination for what is legal, but leave little doubt as to whether their safe.

Pilot pushing? Why don't they just turn in the company under the FAA whistleblower program? It seems to me this place could be shutdown if that stuff is happening.

You don't know much about how the FAA works then.. the MIA FSDO is in bed with the bottom feeders there.. The FAA is part of the problem, not the solution.

B.S. you can easily live within 1 hr of MIA very affordable. With so many foreclosures there are tons of cheap rentals within 1 hr. No income taxes, thousands of homes for sale at bottom of market prices and interest rates at rock bottom. I have homes in WI and FL and Florida is the only place I can afford to live full time.

miami is a ******************** hole....had my tailgate stolen couple weeks ago in my companys parking lot, broad daylight...and learn spanish if you move there...

Anyone have any idea what is competitive at Skylease? I sent in my resume yesterday, just wondering if I stand a chance.

If your method of immigrating to the US consisted of either a rubber raft or an inner tube, you'll fit right in.

I'm not kidding. Even the American born Hispanics there are treated like outsiders.

Proceed with caution is all I'm saying.

Yikes! All I have is half of #4.

Someone said this is for Tradewinds? Doesn't Tradewinds have like most of their pilots on furlough?

Like, I think you're right. Because, like, it isn't totally tubular of them to do this. Like, I mean, like, it's, like, uncool.

:smash:

Please like you've never used the word like. So it's true about TW?

Actually, I only use the word like when it is proper, never in Valley Girl Speak. Not that I am a perfect writer or speaker, it is just that this particular misuse of like is one of my pet peeves. That said, I was just, like, jerking your chain.:)

As far as I know, what you said about TW is true. It truly gives meaning to the term "bottom-feeder".

And that could never happen in MSP, MKE, or ORD. I had my wheels stolen off my truck in MSP (not sure if it was day or nite) sh&t happens everywhere. My point was you can live and work in or near MIA as cheap/safe as anywhere. I have been flying/commuting/working out of MIA for the last 4 years....easy for all of it.

Miami is a Sh..hole and unless you speak spanish and are from another country south of Miami you are definitely and outsider. I personally hope Miami falls into the Atlantic and is seperated from the U.S., Miami is the welfare capital of Florida and it shows.

The rest of Florida is no better unless you like taking the trash out!

Or go anywhere in rural FL. If you don't look and talk like Larry the Cable Guy or Bo and Luke Duke, you're definitely an outsider. In general, Florida sucks.

I would imagine rent would be pretty cheap nowadays in the Triangle.

Talked to a friend who knew someone that worked there and the advice was to run far away from this operation as fast as possible.

Pilot Pushing outfit... steer clear.
