Hey SKYW guys,

trying to go SBP-LAX tomorrow...

It's booked to 28, I'd make 29. How bad are the weight restrictions will I have a shot at that? What if it fills up, will the JS be not even close to possible? Agent in LAX the other day said usually restricted to 24-26. Ouch...

Too bad UAL doesn't put XJT operated 135s instead of the 120s. No weight restrictions and you carry 37 plus a JS.

Too bad UAL doesn't put TSA operated 145LRs instead of 120s. Weight restrictions? Nah, not when we've got only 30 pax.

(see what I did there?)

What times is the flight? I can check the flow board for ya. They are pretty good out of sbp, but bags could be an issue. Still there is a chance.
Lax agents are known to not tell crews about JS and leave Nonrevs behind. Some agents are nice and others could careless and want no chance of a delay on them. Go figure they do this to their own company JS too.
During winter weather and depending on the ac we can take 28

I assume u are going for the first flight to lax. The capt of the flight is a good guy, if he knows u are there as a jumpseater he will do whatever he can. If it means u get there when the crew goes thru security I would recommend it to tell him you are waiting for the jump. Either way, good luck the ac is scheduled to be one of the lighter BOW e120s in the fleet

Yes, this is key- talk with the crew if you can. Otherwise, some agents will put a very low priority on getting you on. It's all about the on-time, and the way they board, there isn't much time for back-and-forth on weights and things.

The SKYW crews are great where jumpseating is concerned.

Except for the fact that UAL isn't already paying for leases on those TSA 145LRs (or the 120s) like they are for the 135s sitting in the desert.

Yes the EMB-135 aka David Seagel's Beech 1900 replacement jet. Sorry about that whole CASM thing. But I'll toast to it next time I buy a PBR at a hippster bar...

The point being that UAL is already paying for them to sit in the desert anyways.
