Paris might as well be Lubbock as much time as you spend on here having the same conversation over and over again. Get out and enjoy the layover for gosh sakes! And please...save the clever rebuttal about eating croissants under the Eiffel tower as you get your portrait painted....they really aren't that clever!

Nothing the Gen. ever says is clever, unless you are in the third grade, or for other reasons are still immature enough to eat your own boogers......

There is an obvious and vast canyon of difference between the wit of the General's posts the cleverness he so obviously thinks those posts infer.

Come on, Gen PeePants.....

The charade is over-we all now know that in reality you are a precocious little elementary schooler who has taken over Daddy's account.....

It sure is fun to screw around with the grown-ups and figure out a way to work clever witticisms such as "McRonald's" into each post, ain't it?

-Look out, PeePants-Daddy just got back from the golf course and he will kick the crap out of your little beanpole butt if he catches you on F.I. again!

C'mon kiddos you are missing the General's point.

We should be longing to barely fit into our double breasted jackets while slam clicking into our fancy hotel rooms separate from those beauty Delta/NW FA's so we can re-touch our JustForMen grey top combover and log onto FI and giggle at ourselves as we try to slam 22 year old regional pilots because our wife doesn't really want to talk to us and the FO doesn't really like us enough to hang out with us and our gut hangs out too much to attract that 29 year old anymore and we've told everyone all of our really cool old war stories 4 times etc. etc.

Don't you kids get it?

I don't know about you gaywads, but I want out of the regionals. I would give this stuff up to fly with the General, and I bet you would too. Oh wait, you love 5 or 6 leg days as much as I do, right? Looks like he was just saying to throw in our apps when we can. Sounds like sound advice you could use, unless you are an a-hole.

You are an embarrassment to us Regional guys.

I actually really enjoy DL, even the "new Delta." I seem to get some really great trips, fly to interesting places, get paid "fairly" well, and enjoy the "family" atmosphere. Flying INTL flying is a lot different than Domestic flying. Nothing can be "broken" when flying overseas. You have to have special MTC checks--especailly for ETOPS flights across the pond. And, the First Class meals with ice cream at the end are great. I really do have to workout more on my layovers though, I seem to eat too much on the trips.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Cool, man. Thanks a lot for posting that. So, the new Delta is not going to be a complete disaster, because you enjoy int'l flying? The NW culture of incompetence, animosity, and distressed labor relations [enjoy the honeymoon] will not seep its way in to Delta, because you're big-balling it up in a French whorehouse with a fistful of Nair? Good to know that the ATL ramp is becoming a model of efficiency. Never mind the examples in this thread citing examples that could possibly elicit concern over the competence of the folks at the helm of the new Delta, so long as your hotel still comps you all of the hairy French porn you could ever ask for. Enjoy the ice cream.

No.........that's not at all what he was saying, nor the point he was trying to make. He gets off on instigating and antagonizing Regional pilots by acting superior and ensuring us we all know exactly how inferior we are. He trolls the Regional boards as a Major pilot to set us straight and ensure we know our place in the World.

Can you believe Gen PeePants actually admits to once-long ago flying for a lowly "commuter" airline???

His plane probably even had props!

-For Shame, PeePants!!!!

-Uh.Oh I think I hear daddy coming up the stairs-no time for a quick "McRonald's" comment before you have to hide under some furniture to avoid an assbeating.

-Life sure is tough, ain't it PeePants....

"Maslow saw human beings' needs arranged like a ladder. The most basic needs, at the bottom, were physical -- air, water, food, sleep. Then came safety needs -- security, stability -- followed by psychological, or social needs -- for belonging, love, acceptance. Then, came esteem needs -- to feel achievement, status, responsibility, and reputation. At the top of it all were the self-actualizing needs -- the need to fulfill oneself, to become all that one is capable of becoming. Maslow felt that unfulfilled needs lower on the ladder would inhibit the person from climbing to the next step. Someone dying of thirst quickly forgets their thirst when they have no oxygen, as he pointed out. People who dealt in managing the higher needs were what he called self-actualizing people. In New York he found two more mentors, anthropologist Ruth Benedict and Gestalt psychologist Max Wertheimer, whom he admired both professionally and personally. These two were so accomplished in both realms, and such "wonderful human beings" as well, that Maslow began taking notes about them and their behavior. This would be the basis of his lifelong research and thinking about mental health and human potential. Benedict and Wertheimer were Maslow's models of self-actualization, from which he generalized that, among other characteristics, self-actualizing people tend to focus on problems outside of themselves, have a clear sense of what is true and what is phony, are spontaneous and creative, and are not bound too strictly by social conventions." excerpt from Wikipedia

Speedtape's research on Human behavior:
Maslow's observations have merit. Moreover, most people seek a "Zone of Comfort," especially those who are not risk takers. Once a human reaches his safe, and secure "Zone of Comfort," he minimizes any actions that would move him out of the Zone. Therefore, this contributes to habits and a "laziness" or resistance to change. Furthermore, most people, especially non-risk takers, will not change their behavior or habits unless some external force or stimuli alters their safe environment, or Comfort Zone. Change the Comfort Zone, and behavior will change.

This economic environment is going to change human behavior on a mass scale. Unfortunately, we have only seen the tip of the iceberg. Are you ready for change?
