I got a Fedex interview in a couple weeks and I wanted to get some sim time in a heavy jet such as a 727 or DC-10 before I go in. Anyone have some info as to where to go?

Lots of places are options....Pan Am in Miami (A300) and another place in CVG. NW has a facilty (NATCO) in MSP. If you want to knock out some prep in Memphis, go to this link and follow the link to "sim prep".

There are plenty of options...but I think most folks who've used someone lately will say "get some!..(prep)", no matter where you get it.

Be careful with the A300 sim prep in Miami. I had a friend burned prior to his interview because the knuckleheads down there "forgot he was on the schedule". PM me if you want any further details...

Adios.

Sim at Purdue

Purdue Univ. has a 727 sim. I did my sim prep for UPS there. Call Prof. John Young 765-494-9969.

We are also doing UPS prep in Memphis. Just loaded the Louisville info in the system recently. Again...use the link below if you are interested.

Get the FedEx sim prep with AlbieF15's guy

Frog,
Congrats on the interview. Please know there are varying degrees of sim prep - price and location probably shouldn't be the first two criteria. Quality of sim prep, knowing the FedEx (or company X) profile cold and reputation/proven results should take a front seat over price and location. Getting some prep is of course better than none. But there are good prep services and there are better ones. Believe me when I say this. I was in a rush to get some heavy time and ended up getting some airbus time in CVG. Thought I'd be good to go. Well, I unfortunately failed the sim at my FedEx interview (don't get me wrong, the folks in CVG are excellent! - I'm just saying, the folks in Memphis, or location X for other airlines, may be a better option as far as instruction and knowing what the interviewers are looking for). Yes, you can get the prep at many places...personally, I would contact AlbieF15 at emeraldcoastinterviewconsulting.com and schedule with his guy in Memphis for the DC-10. The person (instructor) you do the prep with is extremely important. Getting prep in the same exact platform isn't as important as getting an instructor who knows the FedEx (or company X) criteria cold, in my very humble opinion. If you haven't already scheduled the prep, I highly recommend doing it with the above. I've included my post below to give you more insight on my experience with the interview. I wrote it for folks like you who are getting ready. Good luck!
