Sick and tired or being sick and tired!

As a merger between AirTrans and Midewest is on the horizon I can only think about how it will effect a larger number of people. Yeah, I work for AirTran and am a pretty senior dood in the left seat. Can hold a line and all that Jazz. Bid a reserve line to get X-mas off because my lady's b-day is on the same day. Turns out the company didn't know how to implement flica and now am stuck working JC's bday when I origanally had it off. Turns out there is about 200 other guys that had the day off and are now junior assigned. Talking to alot of folks on the line that are ready to burn this place down. If I was a Midwest guy I would hope to hell that this thing doesn't go through. If it does you will all be working for a management group that grew up having Adolf Hitler as thier idol. Peace out from the ATL!

"A pilot must normally accept a junior assignment, however, if the pilot is unable to comply due to an important personal circumstance, the pilot may decline the assignment. A LPR will be required"

"Reserve pilots will not be scheduled to fly on their day off"

Q: "May a reserve pilot be drafted?
A: "Yes, downline only".

If I had plans with the family, I'd consider that an "important personal circumstance".

There is NOTHING in the agreement that gives the company relief from that provision, use it as necessary.

This is more of a knock at CNN. Today a financial chick (the one with red hair -- no not that one, the older one ... Susan Losciovich) was talking about airline mergers from the floor of the NYSE (even though it was Saturday)and referred to them as "TranAir." I really have a hard time believing that anyone would get trust any financial information from CNN.
