Does all of the 61.55 training have to be on the same flight? Can you just do one landing on each empty leg you fly in day VFR/IFR until you have the 3 and then do the single engine stuff and be OK? I'm not looking to bend the regs, just looking to follow them and get the stuff done as easily as possible.

You can do whatever you want as long as the plane is empty. But if there are passengers on board, you have to be current, which means you gotta have everything done. Unless the PIC is single pilot rated, then you don't even need a PPL.

Ryan,

Thanks for the nervousness and consideration. I couldn't agree with you more when we are talking about a job.
However, when I mention the word "part time" with "a trip every 3-4 months for fun" no employer wants to train me.

I don't have any plans to work for less than what it's worth and only on my schedule.

Thanks again.

Roger that. If it's really your cup 'o tea, go for it!

There is very little aviation-related stuff in my off-time. Last thing I want to do is go fly some more. But dif'rent strokes...
