Remember CHQ's last contract negotiations?

It was all doom and gloom with Republic! Now this!

Trust me, this management teams knows what it is doing. If we ever want to fly heavy metal at CHQ (190s and 737s!!), just let this ride. They are using this situation to their advantage, much like the pilot group would if the upper hand was theirs.

This will all blow over with a favorable outcome for all. The previous contract is a lesson learned.

Wow...

Brandon's website is a real beaut... Tool. What is it with these egomaniacal self congratulatory newbie airline pilots. And yes, 400 instrument is way too much for 1800 total time. Anything more than about 10 percent of total time and I gotta wonder.

Anyhow, are these positions at REP/CHQ/Shuttle being made available by the arrival of the MDA EMB170s? If so, I cackle with delight seeing the fighting over the spoils. Like hyenas over a bone... Priceless!

nobody answered my question . are shuttle saab pilots already in training for the 170 .

I heard from a Saab captain friend of mine that a few guys are in the last Shuttle class. Some classes for new hires got cancelled and everyone's guess is because of the integration of the Saab pilots into the 170 system as they are phasing out the Saabs. I hope that answers your question.

Nice job, big-mouth. Just had to brag you were the one with the news. Big puffy feathers, comb proudly held high, struttin' through the flightinfo barnyard feelin' like the head rooster.

"You heard it from me first!!!"

You the man. Brandon's got nuthin' on you.

Idiot.

There was no illegal integration of the saab guys, for those of you that may remember, the one thing that we could agree on in the integration meetings was protecting career expectations / seat protection. Our captains would remain captains, even if that means reserve forever.

That being said all of the CHQ pilots that would like to see the saab pilots furloughed thanks, because the saabs are being turned back. Thank you for your support, I cant wait to fly with you on the line.

My fraternity had it all wrong...

IBT = True Brotherhood (sarcasm for all you CHQ tools)

Did they actually furlough some? If they did that is just wrong.. I have yet to run into another CHQ (or shuttle) pilot who is wishing for furloughs, but I can guaranty you that there are a ton of us who want to see a fair integration the way it should be.

No CHQ pilot wants to see an Saab guy furloughed. We are irritated at our managements attempts to circumvent an arbitrators ruling purely in attempts to see how far they can push us. Let me ask you this, if the Saabs were going away and Shuttle was not owned by RAH, what would happen to junior captains? They would go back to the right seat of the Saab. That IS NOT HAPPENING. The CHQ pilots are not blaming the Saab guys for what is happening. We Cx an upgrade class that members of the CHQ seniority list could have held and then found out that pilots that were not on our list are going to that class. All we want is for the arbitration to take place and then for the company to staff as necessary. If this actually happens, then hypothetically Delta can buy CHQ and just train all of us for the left seat in the 777. Its the same thing.

I apologize for not wanting to allow RAH to trample on our contract, you know, the one which they have a legal obligation to uphold? Shame on all of us!
You guys are the ones who apparently don't mind helping our company violate the very contract you''ll be looking to for protection against the same company. So now, prior to arbitration, we have pilots not on our seniority list getting awarded to fly our equipment. Keep in mind these are awards that are NOT going to pilots on our list, which is what should happen per our contract. Play nice for the good company and maybe when you do start flying our aircraft, they'll put a star beside your name in Crewtrac so they won't screw you over. They'll save the screw jobs for those dirty guys and gals from Chautauqua that selfishly want the company to follow that pesky contract.
No, thanks for YOUR support!

those aircraft and the shuttle certificate are owned by rah. the chautauqua contract covers "the company, any subsidiary of the company, the company's parent and any future airline certificate(s) created as a subsidiary of the company or subsidiary of the company's parent." shuttle is now a subsidiary of rah. any and all flying done by any of these separate units is to be performed by pilots on the chautauqua seniority list. your contract isn't part of the equation.

Remember that the 170's are Shuttle America aircraft, operated on the Shuttle America certificate, Owned and managed by Republic Airways Corporation. Since these aircraft are on the SA certificate they are to be flown by Shuttle America pilots on the SA certificate. (Notice that has been no mention on "Chautauqua" anywhere yet?)
then let me mention it.
as stated in the CHQ contract, ALL flying done by the parent company, Republic Airways Holdings, is to be done by pilots from the Chautauqua master seniority list. Republic Airways Holdings now owns Shuttle America. Therefore their pilots have to be on the list before they get to fly ANY 145/170/190 product! period. black and white.

thats what our contract says. what happens to your contract after the fair and equitable seniority integration happens? (this is not rhetorrical...im genuinely interested in what the SA pilots are being told in that particular matter) cause as i recall...it becomes void and a different local is your rep isnt it?

[EDIT:] flylike44, you beat me to it! :)

Good points, all. I would very much enjoy listening to you debate these points with a Mid-Atlantic pilot.
