Just out of my own curiosity...what does it look like? Can you make it out well with the naked eye, or do you need binoculars / telescope?

- I said naked.

Depending on the elevation it looks like a bright star traveling across the sky.

You can see it will your naked eye..no problem there.

I just saw it cruise by here in SW Florida above the western horizon. It was about the magnitude of Jupiter. I remember about 5-6 years ago watching the ISS and the Space Shuttle which was close in trail go directly overhead and they were very bright. Now that was cool.......

A few years ago I saw it too. I love looking for satellites and shooting stars. Damn I miss having a back yard!

Tonight in Miami it will be quite bright from 8:45-8:50 starting in the north, highest 60 degrees up in NE at 8:48, setting in SE. It won't be totally dark then but should be plenty bright to see. Should be as bright as Jupiter which will be south. It has the appearance of a jet landing light flying over at 18,000 ft.
