aviationinterviews.com...Look under Chautauqua Airlines. The interview process is the same for CHQ, Shuttle, and Republic.

How does that work? Is everybody hired onto the same seniority list or are the companies separate? Can you move within the companies once you get there, for example if you are hired at SA, can you bid the ERJ at Chautaqua?
I'm curious, time to start looking.

Yes, same senioirty list. No G0Jetz/Trans State over at this company

Chq has a 50 seat rule so 145 and less are on that certificate, fly for America, Us Airways, United, Delta....soon to be Continental

Shuttle has the 170s (70 seat rule) fly for United and Delta

Republic has the US airways 170s only which have 73 or 74 seats in them.

The certificates are there to get around scope. whatever cert you are on is the equipment you will be flying. Trying to get intercertificate privliges but have heard that most likely will not happen.

relax there buddy,

interview is laid back and not anything tricky or scary. very few techinical questions about current and past AC's, unless you give them a reason to be skeptical its a breese. so just relax and be yourself, they really want to hire you here if you get the interview.

flying here is great, im much happier here than at my previous airline.

good schedules etc...

when you are hired, they will tell you, i have a class on the 15th its for "___"
either CHQ, SHUTTLE or REPUBLIC......pretty much all you get to decided is whether you take it or not.. if you dont take it proceed with caution... maybe they will not call you back ever for another class, you can obviously request an airline in the interview, but thats up to you, I personally wouldnt do that unless they ask me directly. which in my case they did and i got what i wanted. but guys in my class who wanted 145 and requested it... didnt get it.. (they had too much time and were needed in the 170) the only time an FO can change is at the upgrade, you would have to bid what you want.. as a capt there is a 2 year seat lock, and you can only upgrade into a higher pay scale, so no 170 to 145 as a captain... hope this helps and relax

This sounds screwed up! So you have no idea who you will be working for (SA,CHQ,REP) until AFTER you accept the job? What if someone is interested in CHQ for what most likely be a quick upgrade? I would consider CHQ for the year upgrade but I can't survive on FO pay any longer than that. I would be losing money each and every month I were to be stuck as an FO. Wouldn't they want to put the higher time guys at CHQ since they will be upgrading quickly?

no sir you are misunderstood...you interview...if your good to go your placed in a pool...then they will call you for a class date and offer you a position with whichever carrier they need you at at that certain time....its not like you go to class without knowing which carrier you are with...they put most of the high timers with 121 on the 170...however the new mins are 1500 and 300 for both airframes no exceptions....ditto to the interviewee...relax be yourself and your in like flint! good luck

Thanks snap! But with 1500 turbine and over 1000 hours of 121 time it seems they would be inclined to put me on the 170. If I were offered anything other than CHQ I would have to decline. Sad but true, just because of the pay at the FO level.

It's all one seniority list. Just because you go to CHQ doesn't mean you would upgrade any faster than if you were originally an FO at Republic or Shuttle. A Shuttle or Republic FO with a hire date before yours would get that Captains slot at CHQ before you do even if you were an FO at CHQ.

Ok, now I am seeing the light. Upgrade time will be improving across the board not just at CHQ, due to the increase of 69 aircraft for CO. So it looks like maybe 1.5 to 2 years to upgrade.
It took some doing but I think this redneck has now been schooled accordingly. I just wish that $%^^&ing FO pay wasn't so criminal!!!
