I did some training at Have a Scr** years back and had a great checkride experience there, Joe LaPlaca was the examiner. Great guy.

Did you have to do a power off 180 for Joe?

Hey does anyone know what happened to Vinny at Shebles? He was the CFI ground instructor. Great guy, but last time I went by there he wasn't working there anymore and the guy behind the counter wouldn't tell me why or how he left. Just wondering if anyone knew.

vinny quit/fired end of 03' and was talking of starting a CFI class in boulder city. im not sure if he is still doing that, but my bet is he is at the craps table at the GVR.

I just got my ATP there last month. The guy doing the CFI training is Maury. I met Maury 14 years ago when I obtained my Private in Missouri. He is a good guy and knows everything that YOU need to know to get the ticket. Just my .02
