I've been to YIP several times and I beg to differ.

After a few more trips you will understand. :D

Another note, the guy asks for a GPU to start up the King Air- man I love gettin close to those spinning props (not).

Ooooh, scary! Guess you've never had to do a GPU start on a Merlin? (About three feet in front of those Garretts)

Lots of shade at YIP, you see in the winter the sun angle gets so low, with only a 30 degree elevation in the winter at mid day, that makes a fence post throw a 7 seven foot shadow. So you see there is lots of shade at YIP.

Randy:

Not sure what your intensions here are on naming TOL operators so why not come on out and tell us what you know regarding the BAX system?

I can personally speak regarding your "operation", and am astonished that USAJet maintains your employ at the company.

I will admit however, you ride the fence very well, maintaining your lipstick on the a$$es of your employers, while sucking the life out of your labor by maintaining its for the good of everyone.

I know, you are former AF. Cliques exist, a$$ kissers prevail, and you $uck up and move up. Good company man...

Since Air Tahoma is the only 121 that had a fatality in 2004...then I guess they have my vote. As for 135...yes Skyway has my vote there and what do they both have in common...loosers for owners.

So, Still navigating with that sexton I see.

I bet your polar crossing isn't current!

Shoot the sun

yea Jeff, remember it works like this, in January the sun's sub point is about 20S, YIP is about 42N, that is a total deflection of 62. Of course that is at local noon 1732Z. With 90 being the maximum elevation, the difference is around 30 degrees. That is why it is so shady in the winter at YIP. Can't do the polar crossing, it is in our op specs to stay away from the north pole. you did Cel nav in ground school right?
