SkyWest year for pay starts at December 15. SkyNations pay represents 7 full months of work. $30,770/7 = $4395 mo. If he keeps going at this pace he'll wind up about $53K for the year. Our last pay period of the year will also end Dec.15th. For those trying to maximize credit/minimalize QOL, reserve here can be very advantagous. DH flights and ready reserve can fill up a lot of the schedule while keeping actual block time low for the week/month. This allows you to pick up additional flying on your days off.

It gets a little harder to keep the credit up above 100 hours when a regular line holder though. Actual block will come much closer to credit hours.

I'd say most pilots here average around 90 hours of pay a month. For anyone with a life outside of work you'll probably not want to work anymore than that.

I'm lucky b/c my wife makes a fair amount more than I do, but to rack in some extra cash for a baby or a boat (whichever comes first :D ) I'm going to be a sub. teacher in my county.
