Does Anyone know how many weeks in September SWA did interviews. I have heard that they did no interviews for the month of August. I know that There was interviews the 3rd week of the month. Trying to get a rough Idea of when we will go to class.

Also last I heard 200 in the pool. Any more or less? Do you guys know if they are gonna bump up the number of classes each month From 2 to 4? Kim gave me a timeline of March maybe, was just a guess from her though. Thanks for the info!

And I've been studying the flash cards I got from www.pass737.com and the flows. Is there anything else I should be studying. I also bought the 737 FMC guide. I'm kindof lost reading this. Should I even bother with this book? I just want to be prepared.

For what is worth the best I can tell if they have 3 in Jan and 2 in Feb, I will be in the first Feb class which I heard is 2/14. I interviewed on 7/20 which was the start of the last week of interviews in July, with no interviews in August. If they add a class either to the second week in Jan, or the first Monday in Feb I think I would move up. You can make an educated guess for yourself based on when you interviewed in September which likely would place you in March or April depending on when in the month you interviewed.

All this is of course up in the air as SWA could easily add or subtract classes at will based on the info Chase and others have heard, that the training department could handle 1 class per week if necessary.

There is only one thing for certain... Dallas is going to be great!

Are you doing anything to prepare for ground school. Are you going to get the flash cards or flow charts ahead of time? I bought some and there great, but I heard SWA will send a disk to study in advance. Do you know anything about it?

I am doing the PASS cards like you as well as the flows. They pretty much cover the memory items but you can get some nice SWA print outs at any of the pilot base sites like http://www.mdwpilotbase.com of the current memory items. I also have the 737 Cockpit Companion and FMC User Guide both by Bill Bulfer (custom SWA editions.) which are excellent.

From my friends who fly there they say if you arrive with the memory items and flows down you are well prepared. (this is the core of the CD they send you plus walk around photos evidently.) I am trying to do more just to make sure training goes easier since I want to attempt to go home a few times if I possibly can (my wife will be quite pregnant.)

Cheers...

I interviewed on 9/22. I called today for an updated prediction on my training date and I was told the "middle of March". Kim said that the date could move up some but probably wouldn't be any later than that. Apparently, as of today, the only class dates that have been absolutely confirmed are those in January and after that is still a bit in the air. Hope that helps -- Happy Holidays!

guys thanks for the info. I bought a FMC book from some guy on-line for the 737 but I fall asleep reading it. What book did you buy saabcaptain. I paid 50.oo for the one I have. Is there a website for yours.
