I am a crook.

WTFO? I am in the wrong business, wait a minute-no I'm not. How the hell do you get $600K when your company is almost dead. Somebody needs to break out the ax handles and meet this guy in the parking lot.

Hi everyone! It's Dave!

In regards to the concerns that I'm robbing the company blind, and that I have yet to figure out a way to lead US Airways into the future, I would like to say that I am appalled at what I've been reading in the newspapers. It's not what we need at such a critical time for our company's future. We need to be focusing on the real problem--employee salaries.

I really don't make that much money, contrary to public opinion. But if those evil, greedy pilots would give me some more concessions, then I could give myself a big fat bonus! Don't forget, we're all in this together. Everytime I consider the enormous sacrifice each of you has made, I think that it's time we (meaning you) sacifice some more. We need to pay top dollar to our top executives, so that they'll stay, and help us in the future, just like they have in the past.

Well, that's it for this week. I'll talk to you again next Friday...

This would be hilarious if it weren't so close to the truth. :(

Dave Siegal,

is that really you?

Thought i might take the chance and see if there were any first officer positions available at usaiways. I have been through the tab express program and have over 400 hors most of it turbine time. if there are any postitions available could you please pm me. thank you.

Dave would only be willing to hire you if you would accept sub-Mesa wages - say $19/hour for the 737-300.

Heck, if he can't come up with a good revenue-generation strategy, at least he can cost-cut the airline back to profitability by paying everyone 3rd World wages (accept for himself)...

I have 2 things to say.

First, $19/hour for the 737-300? Maybe for a Captain. What are you trying to do? Don't you know that it's that kind of selfish thinking and wreckless spending that got us into this mess. At first I thought On Your Six must be on the US Airways MEC.

Second, REVENUE GENERATION? In lieu of the current state of the airline industry, I find it disturbing that our employee group continues to focus on what they call a lack of revenue. Revenue generation has nothing to do with this! It's premature to talk about revenue generation while our costs are frankly not aligned with the rest of the industry. I view US Airways' role to look at the market place, look at what all the successful airlines are doing, then ask for another round of pay concessions.

Third World Wages? Now that's the kind of innovative thinking that we need to guide us into the future. I'd better get On Your Six on my team, before Delta steals him away.

Once again, since I have an MBA, I know that we can charge any fare we want and we can be profitable, if we can get our operating costs down. That's what I'm trying to do, and that's why I'm worth $600,000 plus huge stock options.

Plus I'm working on a book deal which should be out soon. I counting on ALL of you to buy a copy.

Thanks for all the great work you do, and I'll talk to you again next week.

don't worry Dave, we know you are doing your best for the airline. its great that you can get in touch with the pilot group here on this message board to discucc things. I understand what you are going through, would you consider me for a pilot position? i would be willing to work for $19 hr or what ever you think is reasonable. if training costs are a problem we can discuss those too. i can help you out. i know you are on a tight budget.

thankyou
