Thats right...I'm calling you out.

To start...we all know you are a cgf stooge. You probably only fly enough to keep current so you can still CALL yourself a pilot.

But lets assume you haven't completely sold your soul and give you a chance.

If you want to be completely fair then put your money where your mouth is. Lay out a list on paper. On one side put all the benefits we had and all the promises we have been given over the past 5yrs...at both companies.

On the otherside of the paper list everything that has been taken away. You know not one promise has been kept. In fact they have been using supposed improvements as a disguise to take things away. Like the tier thing. THERE NEVER USED TO BE TIERS. That was announced under "Improving day 8 travel" Which by the way has gotten worse.

Also answer this question for yourself...They have had years to improve things here and they have continually taken away. Now when the threat of losing control comes along they (miracle of miracles) have had a change of heart. The question is..why should anyone believe them this time? The fact is they are only saying those things to keep out the union.

How come we have only heard "We are broke. We don't have any money. We need to keep cutting." then all of a sudden when we send in our cards we hear "We found some money. Great things are coming. Give us another chance."

Please.

If you think everyone here believes that we need a union just so we can get paid then you are sadly mistaken. We are tired of policies changing at the whim of a blackberry message. We are tired of occ and owner services lying to us and to the owners on a constant basis. We are tired of our quality of life and our ability to perform our jobs safely being constantly eroded.

We are tired. We are tired. We are tired. Management has had years of chances to do what they are saying is supposedly coming now. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY believes it. Actions speak louder than words.

I also ask you to do one thing for me. Read a short book called "Confessions of a Union Buster". I'm sure your opinion is already set in stone but if you want to see it from both sides of the fence read it. If you take the time to do that and honestly look at the current situation you will see that everything management is doing and saying is laid out word for word in that book.

So to sit back and look at the facts, we have this:

Company has a history of lying and cutting.
Company says they have had a change of heart as soon as the threat of a Union appears
Everything they say and do comes directly from the union busters playbook

Sorry but you just aren't going to convince anyone. I suspect you have to tell yourself their lies constantly because deep down you know what we are saying is true.

And trust Bob Tyler? ARE YOU KIDDING? Besides being a ploy directly from the playbook...Mr. Tyler is, was and always will be a SCAB. Do you not find it suspicious that even after all these years we still find him on managements side?

He says he was not a scab because he was a management pilot. I ask you, is a Flight Engineer check airman management?
No, hell no.

I guess he is just too ashamed to say the truth so he finds reasons to justify his actions.

I for one will not believe anything he tells me.

Like I said before, actions speak louder than words and the company has been saying one thing and doing another for years. They are not changing, they are simply trying to prevent changing.

Without the union there is no guarantee that they will not simply remove any improvements or continue to take as they have always done.

So I say Schmeddley you Schmuck....get a life.

He's an anti-union troll for Ford & Harrison... 'nough said... Let's nick name him Elmer FUD.

Boy did I stir the pot. Guess those of us, and there are alot us, that dont want a union are not welcome on this site. You're not capable of treating opinions other than yours professionally. I didnt bash any of you. I just expressed my thoughts and concerns and you ripped me apart. I am not from any law firm. Your train of thought shows me you truely don't know what you are talking about. I'm just a line pilot like you, and I'm not managment. I'm just a guy who happens to still enjoy flying at Flight Options.

It's day 8 for me, so I'm heading home where I am sure there is a direct deposit slip in my mailbox from Flight Options. It never fails, always on time without a hitch. Couldn't say that at my last job. I think I will also call some of my buddies that are furloughed from the airlines and see how it's going at the hardware store.

Have a great day!

When you talk to those furloughed pilots at the hardware store, you might ask them if they were union or not. If they weren't, they will have NO RECALL RIGHTS.

If they ARE union, then because they were union, they will have the RIGHT to work again at that place of employment when the company gets back on its feet. The majors are losing pilots like crazy because they are turning age 60. Although it will take a long time, all those furloughed pilots have jobs waiting for them.

Now. What do we have at Options? Oh, yeah. NOTHING. Should WE get furloughed, we have ZERO RIGHTS to be recalled.

Also, Personally, I bash your ideas, not "you" in general, as your comments don't make sense. I have offered you the chance to refute the statements I've made regarding what we lose if we don't win this vote, and for the second time, you have avoided answering them.

If you are anti-union, here's your chance to tell us why it's a bad idea... you have to overcome the many reasons that we know we will GAIN having a union.

Also, I may remind you. 70% of the pilot group sent in a card, schmedley. There may be a lot of you that don't want a union, but it seems obvious to me, that there are a lot more that think we should vote on it. Also, it's your day 8, eh? Well, for the past 2 rotations, I haven't found a single anti-union pilot... there aren't as many as you think there are of you.

Yes sir you did stir the pot! That is in your job description is it not? If you don’t work for Ford & Harrison maybe you should send them a resume!

So let me get this strait, am I supposed to be thankful that my little Flight Options paycheck hasn’t bounced yet? Wouldn’t management have an easy job if that were the only criteria for keeping their workforce happy!!! Ooooo, I’m so sooo happy my $700/week check didn’t bounce!

So how many hours was your day 8 today (if you are in fact one of us)? I cannot remember a day 8 that has not been hell. I have been consistently getting to my domicile airport right around midnight and collapsing into bed about 4 hours before my kids wake up. My first day home usually comes with a feeling not unlike a bad hangover because they had to get their pound of flesh out of me on day 8.

If this union drive fails I’m going to have to get your buddies phone number that works at the hardware store because I will not work here anymore.

Hey schmeddley how DARE you call yourself a line pilot. Sitting all day in occ isn't what I would call a line pilot. And I will bet your day 8 travel from OCC to your house in cleveland is such a long arduous journey that you have to rest for a full hour before you are back in home mode.

You say you have a different opinion...I say look at the truth schmeddley. The truth shall set you free.

Still collecting that $400 a month? Must be nice. How about that SFO payscale? Yeah I would be a little happier with my paycheck also if that was the case.

And you say ask a Delta pilot how they feel about their pay...well I did and guess what...HE IS STILL MAKING WAY MORE MONEY than we are. And as soon as the company gets back on its feet he will make much much more again.

I say ask that delta pilot where he would be if he WASNT union and I bet you will get a much worse answer.

You say you love flying for Flight Options. Well do you actually fly? We do and so when we say we love it we mean it. We want this place to be around. We want this place to keep quality pilots and be a great place that we can all retire from.

The bottom line is management is loyal to the stock holders only. It is their job to get us to work as cheap as they can. All we are asking for is to be treated and paid on an equal level with the job we do. Simple as that.

What have you got to lose if the union comes in? Our lives change at the whim of a blackberry message. POOF move or get fired. POOF no more per diem. POOF longer day eights. POOF your vacation is gone. POOF we don't like the way your hair looks and we are an at will company so you are FIRED.

There is no pay raise coming. IF you believed that then you really are dumb. IF you put a gun to my head I would tell you to take all the money I have saved for my retirement and go on vacation. What's the difference. Years and years with nothing but cuts then as soon as the union shows up..."HEY FELLAHS, we love you again. We are a team. We decided we found some money and by golly we are gonna give it to you. Cause we love you.

I say again....get a life man

Maybe its because you state inaccurate information...such as;

Getting a union at Flight Options would be a huge mistake. I know for a fact that good things will come if we can shoot this thing down. Pay is gonna get better, tier 3 guys are soon to get relief. If you vote this thing in, your gonna pay due's for something that is gonna takes years bear fruit.
We won't pay dues untill AFTER the first contract is signed.

Vote this thing down and results will be immediate.
You are in denial......
