Is $40,000/yr +benefits a fair ballpark for an A&P working a fleet of aircraft.
And is $60,000 + benefits fair for a DMX for a fleet of 6 aircraft.

BTW...
Scheduled Pt. 135. Most work done overnight.
Any input is appreciated.

No, it is not. It's insulting. Not even remotely acceptable.

So what would be acceptable?
I am basing these figures on what a Pt.121 mechanic makes, starting.
If am to be accurate in a business plan, I need something to work with.

When I was a mech for a 121 operation (Jet Link), I was knocking down $55K, and I was not management. This was 5 years ago.

What you are showing is entry level fresh out of A&P school wages for state of the art turbo prop aircraft.

Was 55k starting? And was that hrly or salaried? Thanks for a legitimate answer.

You're going to compare a Director of Maintenance position under Part 135, managing a fleet of aircraft, to what a line mechanic starting out at an airline makes? You don't see a disparity there?

You may find you get what you pay for.

Start out with membership in the NBAA, and get the salary surveys. You'll find that the position you're describing is closer to the 75,000 to 90,000 dollar range.

Thanks for the honest answer. It is appreciated. I know it's apples and oranges, but that's why I asked. I don't much to reference in the 135 world.

Sorry if I offended, it was not intended. I am simply looking for ballpark figures to pay people fairly. I don't want to be considered a d-bag operation.

It is my opinion that when employees are treated fairly and paid well, they tend to take better care of the customer, and the business will prosper.
