In the last week Alaska lost two fine Captains in tragic accidents.

Last Sunday, ANC 737 Captain David Beauregard died along with his three of his children in a collision with another light aircraft just north of ANC. He was 45 years old and leaves behind his wife and two children.

On Friday, SEA 737 Captain Pat Wallace died in a motorcycle accident near the SEA-TAC Int'l Airport. Pat was 44 years old and leaves behind his wife and two children.

GOD SPEED and GOD BLESS these families.

Hard to imagine the pain caused by the loss of these two men, and Captain Beauregard's three children. Really an unfathomable loss to their wives and surviving children. My thoughts are with their families and friends.

Sad week at ATA too

It has also been a sad week at ATA as we have also lost 2 good captains- one to cancer and the other to a motorcycle accident in Las Vegas this past week.

That just breaks your heart.

All I can do is pray for those left behind. From the families to the co-workers.
