The FBI isnt going to give 2 ********************s; if its not terrorism, or full scale political corruption, they dont care.

Ask EGF how well their issue with the TSA Inspector at ORD went a year or so ago - he tried to scale to the top of an EMB using the tubes and probes as handholds to see if he could break into an airplane.

That idiot was probably promoted...

I do believe, however, that the ramp area is under CCTV surveillance up in the ATL Ramp Tower

Why are you assuming the most African American men were in jail at one point in their lives? You are obviously a racist and biggot.

The original quote never said a word about the perps being black or African American as you pointed out. Geez, look in the mirror when using the word racist dude!!
Regardless of the skin color of these pricks, they should be brought up on federal charges and put away for awhile. At least they would not have to work in the Hotlanta heat for some time.

thats happened before.. the foam on the stands touches the pitot static tubes and then melts and is drawn into and blocks the static portion of the system..

I believe that they are partially heated on the ground regardless of sw position..

while its a pain the arse might be worth a quick look after the bug wash.. especially on those low days.

Might be a good idea to do another walk around after someone has been in the vicinity of the pitot probes with a ladder. It is the responsibility of the flight crew, not the ramp crew.

I'm just sayin...

So, I guess you complete another walkaround after pushing back and they unhook the tug from the A/C......I'm just sayin'.......

We just write up in the logbook that the windshield needs cleaned. Maintenance personnel then clean the windshield and sign off the logbook. No doubt exists here about the quality of personnel cleaning our windshields.

Clueless....

And windows need to be washed. Not windows need washed.
What schoold district gave you a diploma? I want to make sure I don't send my kids there!

I don't believe this is the first time happening. Seems to me I've heard this story somewhere before...

Was the bug wash for not being able to see out the window well enough or some other safety reason?

Uhhhhh, NO!

I always get them washed for appearance! There is no excuse for having dirty bugs on your windshield!! You clean them suckers up and make them shine!

-A clean bug is a Happy Bug!

P.S.-This is clearly NOT sabotage-if it were, we would have found the remnants of a "fat spliff" stuck in them probes!!

most ATL rampers (99.9999) are black. and I agree w the previous poster....they mostly likely came from jail. who says stereotypes are not true??!

Who said there was anything wrong with being in the can?

Free room...

Free meals...

Free workouts...

Free cable....

...there's a reason we have recidivists in our society - especially around the winter time. Folks purposely get arrested to stay warm during the cold winter months.

It's not necessarily a mistake. I've been weight restricted a few times and told the ramper we couldn't take any more bags. Then I've seen the cargo door light come on and off, I've asked him if they put more bags on and they've said no. I've counted the bags after and guess what? There was more then what they said. It's happened several times

Yeah-

Speak for yourself..... I prefer a penetration-free cornhole over warmth...

-But hey-to each, his own!

Ha! O.K.- so here's what REALLY happened. The ramp guy got upset at having to do the bug wash, and threw a hissy fit. Following the $hit hemorage, he pushed the ladder up to the airplane, and got the yellow foam padding from the ladder all over the FO's pitot tube.

When the ladder hit the pitot tube, they also got a "Stall Fail"- probably got the AOA vane as well.......The crew didn't get out to check it, because the message just went away. On climb out, the crew called MX Control describing what happened, the caution message on the ground, and that they complied with the QRH procedure. MX asked if anyone went out to check the outside of the airplane after the "Stall Fail" message, with a window guy close to the probes, etc. Over the radio where everyone could hear it, the crew replied "no"...... after which you could almost hear the hand hit the forehead on 131.15 from the MTC guy working MX Control........

It wasn't sabotage.........just a cluster ####, that I'm sure neither side would like to repeat. Nobody's going to jail, because you can't fix stupid........

Also, a rubber glove would have been way too obvious- especially on the takeoff roll with the "80 Knots" call......

Everybody can ease up on the sabotage, white man's long arm of oppression stuff, and FBI investigations.....Besides, Palmer's busy......

Wow...I didn't know I've been to jail....or any of my friends...

I wonder why I don't remember it...maybe I blocked it out of my mind...

whites will always feel threatened by blacks. sterotypes help keep them feeling secure and in control, albeit it delusionally.

dont take what anyone says on these boards seriously.

Have they ruled out material from the pitot covers? Don't know about ASA but another CRJ operator insists on installing pitot covers anytime the aircraft is left unattended between crews - regardless of weather - in order to keep moisture out. (Hmmm, doesn't it fly in the rain?) The side effect has been instances of this material getting lodged in the pitot tubes.

If there were a jail for stupid posts, you would have been UNDER it!

After almost 8 years on the CRJ, I've never even seen a pitot cover at ASA.
