Hey where can I get some kind of model that is not 200 friggin dollars anyone have an idea? Looking for Us airways express or the generic saab paint job.

You might be SOL on this one, unless you want the promotional one. That one is garbage as well.
There are a few model companies that do make the USAirexpress Saab 340, that you build. But they are tiny. Wingspan is about 5-6 inches.

This guy will do it.

This guy/company will build a SAAB 340 wooden model with any paint scheme you want.. Mesaba old or even the new Silver SAAB paint scheme. He'll even throw on whatever N-number you want on it. I ordered and received a BEAUTIFUL model (as beautiful as the SAAB can get) and it was somewhere around $75 bucks. Email Winston Uy at [email protected]. I am VERY PLEASED with the model he built for me.

Why don't you just buy the aircraft itself? You can get them pretty cheap these days.

Not as cheap as you'd think. I tried to pick one up after 9/11 (to do an LA-Grand Canyon shuttle) and it was a couple mil.

600K is how much it cost for the C check, landing gear AD, and TAWS. Hard to believe you bought the thing for nothing.

BigPicture speaks the truth, English. He might even be exaggerating on the high end, I thought they were closer to $500k.

Last time I was in BGR -last summer- there were plenty of tired (but up to date MXC wise) A model Saabs getting pinker by the day, just dreaming of a new home.

I would guess that some of those double-digit serial number ships with around 70,000 cycles could be had for a song.

Hey, I'd grab a used-up A-model Saab for a half mill before I'd spend the same money on a new light twin. :)

Can it drag 30 200# pax off GCN in the middle of the summer?
