Ryan International MD-80's

I'm not quite sure this belongs on the major's board, but in any case, are there any Ryan MD-80 guys in Miami that could comment on the schedule, QOL, trips,ect? I have a lead there in case you guys get the additional MD-80's being talked about, and living in Miami, it would be nice to have that short drive to work. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Homer that flying I think is for Aeropostal out of Venezuela and I dont see things getting nice down there. Is the same flying that Falcon Air does out of Miami. The Aeropostal owner does not like to pay his bills on time. He owed Transmeridian #1 about 8 million dollars when they went out of business. So I dont know how secure that business is. I also herd that Falcon gave them a notice because of the money they are owed. UBA757

I'm on the 757 at Ryan, but this is what I hear. The flying is for Aeropostal, but it will be staffed with 50% Venezuelan pilot's as per the agreement with the Venezuelan government. Whether they pay on time or not, I have no clue. I do know that as of a couple of weeks ago a bridge, or road was closed for some reason, and cut off access to the airport from all major parts of the country, so the deal was on hold for now. Supposedly it will be moving forward in the future. Hope that helps. PM me, and I'll find out some details of the schedule, etc.

Mdanno, That is the same deal Falcon had with Aeropostal and it is not because of the Government of Venezuela. The guy is just cheap. I did some of the flying for 5 years. I don't know how much you make but when I flew with the Venezuelan crews I made more than the CA, FO and FE con vined and trust me my pay was nothing to brag about. UBA757

My pay sucks. Like I said, I'm on the 757, so all I know about the MD80 program is what I hear from the other 75 guys, or whatever the company releases.
