First if all, it wouldn't be a -900ER, it'd be a Max 9. Secondly, I agree that it's not really a pilot's airplane but the sales figures don't lie. Airlines LUV this jet.

Nothing really compares to the 75. It was a clean sheet design.

Would you rather make $250,000 flying a 737, or $150,000 in a "really big jet"?

You missed my point. Delta did not "need those laws", they abused those laws just like American is doing now.

Even though I was not at Atlas at the time, yes, I am aware of that bankruptcy. Not exactly the same as Delta and Northwest filing on the same day in the same court room.

I'd rather never step foot on an airplane again after hitting the lottery. Flying airplanes for a living is better than working at Denny's but I'm not enamored with any of it at this point. None of it sounds good to me frankly.

Never working again sounds best.

I don't think the 75's a really big jet either, but at least it's not a 73.

The facts are tough things.

Both Northwest and Delta entered bankruptcy before the new laws changed at the end of Sept. 2005.

Completely fabricated. All leases and contracts re-negotiated because 'we said so'. Pathetic when you look at it for what it was. A way to shed debt because they couldn't manage their way out of it. Management failure, not the pilots or other labor groups. They had to take the pay cuts, again pathetic.

That's pretty bold Kramer......it wasn't fun to go through, and I hope you never have to, at your company or personally. But, this country believes in second (and sometimes third, fourth) chances. If you don't like that, move to Russia. Some people make a lot of money in BK, like the lawyers. Some people never recover. That's life and business in the USA.

Wasn't a slam on you General. Both bankruptcies were a sham to reduce their cost because of poor management and the opportunity to get it done before the laws changed. You disagree?

No comment on that, but the key is that BK protection is there for everyone. I hope you or your company don't have to go through it, ever.
