Which Justin Roper is the common aviation boot? The 3170?
Looking for the one with rubber sole and fiberglass shank.
Also, does the size run in line with regular dress shoes?

Yes the 3170 "melo veal" is great and has a composite shank. AFAIK size runs pretty standard but you should stop by a western clothing store and try them on. Didn't like the white stitches so I regularly sharpeed them. The Ariats above are nice too. They are better suited for winter ops on account of the soles but are made in PROC as opposed to 'Murica with the 3170s if that's important to you.
