That sucks. Its funny because I always had the bullseye on me. People thought for sure I was fired. Especially after I told them how crappy the raise was the first time NJ got a huge bump. Who knows why I wasnt fired?

Gunfyter,
Some of them will never get it. I used to talk until I was blue in the face about this rest issue. To no avail. The only thing management would say is that "we cant operate like NJ does." Hopefully they wont learn the hard way about tired pilots.

Hey Mike, how's southwest treating you? Are you glad you left Flex?? haha!

Oh yeah. And the captain that was just fired from Flexjet was a HUGE union supporter. Hmm, I wonder if that had anything to do with him getting fired?? DUHH. We still need a union people.

To All, I've been on the march to make it better before. It worked, but it took five years and 90 days walking the line. Just look at the facts boys. If we dont stand together now, we get nothin. Let's go for it.

The recent firing is absolute proof that we need a union more than ever. We have zero job protection. This company is fire-happy, and without a union we can't do anything about it. SEND IN YOUR CARDS.

The reason he was fired was because he was a union leader. The excuse they found to get rid of him was absolutely out of bounds and they will probably be writing another check to another former employee.

Wow this is so FLOPS, we have already written this chapter for FLEX, and NJs wrote the chapter for us. Good luck

I heard the proximate cause of his firing was he flew an airplane with known discrepancies.

I heard the background cause was "he was a royal pain in the a$$ for five years".

Yep, he had it coming. Also heard that he set himself up for a violation for flying the airplane after admitting the problem to maintenance. Doh!!

Ok, I have to ask on this.
Who, but the company, would possible benefit from moving a plane with "known discrepancies"?
What would this guy have to gain by doing so??
So, why would he do it?

I guess I am very confused as to this whole affair.

Hung

plenty of people i am sure have held off on writing something up until they got to a maintenance base. isn't that what happened?
