No matter what they decide upon, the PAX will still complain about riding on those SMALL planes.

They all seem like good planes, but I prefer the Dash-400.

Hey wait I thought they had a hangar full of these things already.

Does anyone else think they're behind schedule a bit? They haven't even PICKED ONE yet? Let alone the lead time for an order, and training and such.

Anybody recognize any Flyi people? I see almost all the EMT for NWA. Also it's very funny that they posted this on the internet.

At least that's what they want everyone to think. Perhaps an attempt to tempt the Mesaba pilots with shiny new jets for a quick TA? I wouldn't be surprised.

I agree. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but this seems like a stunt. Looked like a Kiwanis Club outing.

As I've said before the only management can win in this situation is to allow the mesaba pilots to vote in a concessionary contract. I don't see anyway they could get that done other than offering major growth. If the pilots at Mesaba strike, they will need a non union carrier to come in and fill in the flying. Maybe that skywest airplane isn't so far fecthed after all.

OK let me be first. I saw a Skywest RJ on the ramp at NWA. I heard from a person in the know that Skywest or ASA will be flying 60 CRJ 900's for Northwest.

They definitely have the ideal rates and cost structure NWA is looking for.

Funny is was on the net...

..and even more funny that this get-together was in Duluth.

Why drag everyone up there?

If NWA actually cared about Mesaba's pilot situation as some on here want to believe, they would have held yesterday's event in MSP...Right in front of the Mesaba hanger. Not in DLH where no one is going to see.

I'm not saying that they are hiding, I just wonder.

The "Black Helicopter" theorist is me (purely developed from reading threads from a lot of ya-hoo's on here) says that the FLICKS photos weren't taken Jul, 27 of 2006....but Jul 27, of 2005!!!! Note, there was not a YEAR named in that slide show!

They came out with the slide show at 4PM yesterday...the same day that the pics were taken, 200 miles away!!! How did they get them DL'd and onto a website so fast!!!

Look in the sky!!! It's a UFO!!

It was yesterday...Friend works at NWA HQ and saw the EMT coming back talking about the jets. No good dirt in the eavesdropping though.

E175 and CRJ in DLH

Was working here in DLH and did see an ASA CRJ as well as an E175 land at the same time... I had no idea just thought it was interesting. This would have been on Thursday the 27th.

What is this post about, you can see the MSP terminal in the background of the pictures? They were clearly taken yesterday.

Oh yea didn't they say that about COex? So once republic gets this deal, watch you guys say RP's "stealing" flying from Mesaba! But see, you guys are the whores right now!!!

Ouch, while still in C-numbers, that's a SkyWest -900. It has better lines even smaller inside than the 175, but surely the pay from a pilot's perspective certainly make it a less attractive plane.

Thats pretty wierd that Bombardier would bring one of SkyWest's planes to show to northwest, is it because they had no other one to show them?

I thought the same thing. Well, atleast it doesn't say SkyWesy in NWA colors (yet). If that had been the case I'll bet there would have been a whole bunch of drunk XJer's this weekend!

Mesaba and Skywest payscales are very similar. What would NWA gain by using Skywest over Mesaba?
Skywest probably has a way junior employee base.

I thought the bidding was already complete....back in february? Maybe not. Doesn't much seem to be the NWA way though. This whole scenario is devastating to XJ because we have no other flying (the ability but not the desire). 9E is the same, hopefully they are able to get stuff going before the table turns though. NWA seems to have a firm hold on EVERYTHING XJ does. This whole bankruptcy is the doing of NWA. Lose the first 1113c hearing ... that's ok we will just pull a few more Avros and suddenly 19.4 is a reality. If we had more business, NWA wouldn't have us by the throat. Contracts don't mean anything to these guys either. XJ just signed the pilot contract (04) and the ASA with NWA for all three aircraft types (10 years??), yet once again find themselves on the chopping block. The part I don't get is that XJ made money......

Yea they do, same as the 70 seat payscale they have. Which is the same as....

You're trying to make too much sense out of this industry. The only thing that makes sense is that nothing will ever make sense.

Guys this was for Compass. The second photo on the list show's Neil Cohen. I'd recognize that guy with his sissy glasses anywhere. There are many other people in the pictures that I recognize from the compass group. Sorry this wasn't for Mesaba. Honestly who cares, all decisions had been made for Mesaba, six months before we filed for Ch 11. All those filings weren't written overnight.

This Road show for Compass is merely show and tell. My daughter can't wait for school to start so she can do the same with her new dolls.

If we had more business, NWA wouldn't have us by the throat.
But if XJ did, it wouldn't be flying for NWA. If anyone believes NWA would bring in a regional carrier that provides service for another major carrier (including Delta) you need to study NWA history harder. NWA monopolizes everything it has. Routes, hubs, terminals, regional carriers.
