Tank your right...they are the original control freaks. However having said that...I will say this...in this bidness nothing is as it seems.

Xj and 9e could have had other flying a long time ago. It would have made good business sense to have had other customers. So why didn't they? They don't need to. As long as they do what they are told ,keep the cost down and beat their employees in the NWA fashion. But most important, let NWA control everything. The RFP was to get XJ where it is, and they NWA is hoping for a new low standard in regional cost.

Ain't it great being a jr. member of the Red Tail!

Tank, I think I misrepresented my opinions in my last post. I agree that NWA probably would not allow the dinks to have other business. I was attempting (not very effective) to point that out to the person who commented on RAH picking up the flying. I do remember XJ seeking permission through the court (NWA bankruptcy) to seek other business....atleast that is what SpongeBoB dingleberry said in one of his infamous memos. So I guess my question is could they really have had other business outside of NWA (I fully understand NWA's insisting (or forcing) not and atleast XJ's lack of any kind of motivation).

They came out with the slide show at 4PM yesterday...the same day that the pics were taken, 200 miles away!!! How did they get them DL'd and onto a website so fast!!!

Well, see, they have this thing called the internet now, which can move things at lightning speed.

If you're not familiar with it, it's a series of tubes....

:D

NWA has always said that they want 2 viable regional carriers. Now that Compass is dead in the water I couldn't imagine them giving there flights out to other carriers, but who the hell knows.

Everyone is forgetting that Mesaba is operating ONLY 1 Crj and maintaing a CRJ training program. Once the dust settles, as I have said before, XJ will be operating some form of replacement airplane for the Avros. Most likely the CRJ 700. People get confused sometimes, but Mesaba and Northwest are almost one in the same. They are puppets and almost all of the Senior management (including Spongebob) are former NW cronies who worked with Doug.

A gulfstreamer complaining about the industry...go figure.

Since when was compass dead in the water?? Are they not in the process of handing in their manuals for FAA approval before they start the tabletop and proving runs??

Your right about Compass. To much money to be made by the Top Guys for it not to be up and running so it can be sold and big bonuses handed out..

Yeah, I just heard that the FAA said they had to be ATOPS current and something about how the certificate wasn't. I do know that compass is way behind schedule.
