Check out this new Mesa UAX flying....

Now tell me, what passenger (OR crewmember) wants to be crammed into an RJ for close to 4 frickin' hours?

Wow! IMHO, we are gonna reach a point of dimishing returns with these RJs. At first, RJs were cool, pax loved going from Albany, GA to ATL and from ATL to places like TRI and ROA in an RJ. Wow- a JET! is what they would say. People would aviod flying turboprops so they could get on a jet. Now, mgmt has gone to the extreme by placing these RJ's on routes that it was never designed to fly. The result, pax are gonna quit flying on a certain airline if they always end up in a small, cramped RJ for 3 freakin' hours!!!

Hope this made sense :)

You are a business traveller...here are your options:

EWR-OKC in an RJ with a travel time of 3-4 hours

or

EWR-IAH-OKC (or EWR-DFW-OKC) with a travel time of 7-8 hours

What flight(s) will you take?

Sam

The thing I hate most about those RJs is the fact that you look like you are trying to $uck yourself off just to look out the window. but I guess its quiet enough.

I'll gladly fly long flights if it means I wouldn't be doing five or six legs a day. Austin-SFO, and short meal break, and then SFO-FAT for the overnight. Sounds like a plan.

BINGO......

This past Monday DFW-OAK 4hrs 6mins in a CR7

At ASA we are flying some long legs in the CR7 like DFW-OAK, DFW-ONT, and DFW-SNA. I think they are a little too long. This time of year we have to bump pax from the DFW-OAK, or stop in LAS for fuel. That really sucks for the pax. The good news is that we will start serving (actually selling) food on these West Coast flights.

the 146's would be so much nicer...

My sore A$$...never mind the walk of shame....

I think those UA Express CR7s are going to be flown by Mesa.

Also, ASA will start a daily CR7 from JFK to DFW soon. I guess our marketing department can't find enough people who live in the DFW area or the NYC metro to fill an MD88. Sheesh!

Bye Bye---General Lee:rolleyes:

Those things are pretty slow aren't they? At least the CR7 can cruise at .82 M.

Aren't the CR7s limited to M.78 right now because of some engine problems?
