What an eery, freakish place. I would like to visit it someday. There's something that draws me to the place, maybe because nobody has been there in twenty years. Take a look at the barges and ships that were just left there, choppers and trucks. Really weird to see a city deserted. What do you guys think about some of the mutated animals there? Do you think there are some crazy ass rats running around there? What about the fishing, what kind of spooky fish cruise the waters around that area?

I would be very interested to see some real, unbiased numbers of people that were affected by the accident itself.

The area were Chernobyl was based was known for a lot of inbreeding because of the location it was in. In fact I think the biker makes a little note of that too in her report. Aslo if you go find for things wrong with people, you'll find a lot that people already had, but never noticed or paid attention to.

I read in about half the reports that there was a sharp increase in thyroid cancer in people around the site. But other reports say that there was a sharp increase in thyroid-findings in the 4 months following the disaster. It's just that radiation indused thyroid illness won't manifest itself until after 6 months after irradiation. ( note: I'm not a doctor so these numbers can be off, but you get the just of it).
After a while it ended up being about the average population in the rest of the world having the same percentage of thyroid issues.

I'm not sticking my head in the sand for this, and I truly think the pilots who dropped the stuff on the melted core, and the firemen were truly remarkable. Took some ball$ to build that Sarcophagus!! Strange that the people who kept operating the remaining reactors didn't have a lot of issues with radiation illness

I would just like to see an independant review of facts, but I think that will not be possible, too much politics involved in nuclear power issues

way off topic...

You know.... she wasn't bad lookin either.... I wouldn't have minded being the one that had to give her the chemical shower!!

Hey piav8r, I'm glad somebody finally came forward with that point. I was thinking the exact same thing...no wait...I was thinking that she's actually very attractive. Way better than 'not bad looking', I'd say. I just didn't want to be politically incorrect or disrupt the ongoing discussion about nuclear power. It's a great website too; very eerie photos. That woman has big brass balls to ride through there solo. She also has good taste in bikes, tires, and helmets. I wonder if she's single? :D

She did leave her address at the end of the thing didnt she, and I thought the same thing - titanium ones...

Wow, those pictures are very chilling. What a wonderful historical account though of what happened there. I was surprised though that she was not wearing any kind of protective gear. But then some people don't wear protective gear and live with their mistakes later.

As far as radiation gear i saw none, as far as motorcycle gear looks like shes got good stuff. Shoei helmets are top of the line and expensive mofos.

I was waiting for someone to comment on her attractiveness. Lord knows there's just something hot about a chick riding a sport bike! :D

Now I just need to find out if she's into BBQ...

Yeah, I tried to just slip that in there indiscretely and see if anyone noticed.... guess someone did.... :D

Course I had to at least TRY to be politically correct.... couldn't say what I really wanted to do...... mmmmmmmm strawberries!!!

Anywho... Yes, amazing and erie site. I don't know if I would have had the balls to ride through there.... maybe someday. I'd have to find a place that reted Harley's though!!!

Finally got through the whole thing.

Wow.

What a waste...if only quality control hadn't taken a back seat to keeping up with the Amerikanski. :(

Nobody's answered my question about the crazy mutant catfish....
bet they sure can bend a pole, then jump out of the water and eat a man.:)

As you can see, my avatar resembles someone who went on a camping/fishing trip there, looks like he had fun.:D
