I have no Doubt that now MS days are numbered..But as far as improvement? not with this Slime ball

I also think MS is now counting the days until he is escorted to the parking lot with a box containing his personal items.

While Ricci is not my choice as the perfect CEO.
If his return means that MS will be exiting the building, it is in some perverse way an improvement.

With the union now on the property and the unity of the pilot group solid, it is just a matter of time until there is a contract that will protect us from whoever is sitting upstairs in the executive offices.

You guys thought Uncle Kenn was dumb. Lets see, he bought the oldest, cheapest planes on the market. Then sold them at a huge discount on the fractional market and made huge money. Then the mx bills started coming in on these old planes. He stopped paying them and was bailed out and bought out from Raytheon. He sat next door with his window to the world watching the turmoil continue and counting his money from his share of the sale. Now he has some magical fix to turn the BJ from junk to junk with economical engines and winglets. He will likely now walk across the ramp and get paid a huge salary to fix the problems that MS built. It won't even cost him a dime as it will be H.I.G's money. Then he will convert all the BJ's and make more money than ever! Now that is just priceless! Stickin it to the man Kenn! Now what was that you said before you left Netjets plus 5%? We will see how his memory is now.

P.S. I was never in the FOK (Friends of Kenn club. But with the NJA+5% that he stated years ago I can be in the friends of 1108 club.

 I continue to be amazed at how that guy can make anyone believe (still) that you're getting in on the bottom floor of Microsoft...

Same thoughts here...at least when we our getting our weekly "address" from KR, we can laugh at how full of **** he is...with MS (150% pure evil), the bad thoughts can't leave your head, and there is never, EVER room for a sense of humor with the situation, just to get you though the days at this dying place. It isn't a good place to be in for so long.
As we have said, KR has an interest in not letting this place die, no matter what his motives. He also knows how much happy pilots pass on that attitude to the pax, and has seen full force how bad it can go the other way. Maybe, just maybe he's learned something...but there isn't a CHANCE that MS has or ever will. His whole career is based on running companies into the ground, and he won't "blemish" that record.
(look at us talking like KR is CEO again)

Somebody please call or write if any of these people come up with a business plan, any real plan with or without a union. Surely they can make Netjetwife an additional director and that will solve the crew issues. All that is great, but just where and when does the company make any money.

And until such time that Flight Options' management comes up with such a plan, maybe they can stop pi$$ing off both their employees and customers. That alone would probably go a long way toward getting back to profitability.

The Power of Positive Mental Attitude

If the Ken does return, and this will be my 18th year on and off with him, I will have a much higher level of faith in the survivability of Flightoptions.

Ken can sell. Of course his style doesn't work for everybody...

Ken dreams big, then he forces the market to see his way.

Since I've been around him he's been up and down four times. He truly is remarkable in his nature to make a comeback.

He also has a nack for the pilot culture, although yes, it does get a little creepy.

His archilles heel however is follow-through. Perhaps we'll have a little more cash on hand to ride out the bumps this time. Perhaps a less manic attitude. Well that's my hope, anyway.

who cares

Voice, don't you have a spelling bee to attend to or something. We have much bigger issues to attend to than spellcheck. After fourteen hours and 90% of the time not even having the time to read what you write who gives a dang. Ricci coming back is not a good thing, a contract would be a good thing. You can pay me sh&$*#&$*t and treat me well, or treat me well and pay me sh*&#*@^#&@*t, but you can't do both. That is something those clowns upstairs in cgf will never figure out. This place is doomed. I give it six months or leess.

Oh sweet-I can't wait for the weekly message again and for the BB's to ring at midnight with Combat Joe's daily SOP.
Well, the good news is... The game has changed... Changing the players will do nothing at this point. The only thing that will settle the pilots is a fair industry leading contract. I am all for the Show me the Money line.. But.. more importantly than that is work rules that protect the pilots from a corrupt set of leaders.
Contract NOW!! or CLOSE the DOORS!

Carry on

Drunk? no, just talking out my a$$ again.

UGH. your repost of her post (I have her & B-19 on ignore) is a vile infraction that can only be overlooked this time due to your commendable and staunch adherence to the rules of educated speech.
For that, I applaud you for your public service toward those who are without hope and unarmed for such a battle. ;)
Carry on.

Just like you didn't believe Ricci would be back. Everyone is talking like he is already going to become MS's predecessor. He is not acting in any official capacity yet. My point is we have bigger issues to worry about than that right now. But if you want to start another thread correcting someones spelling, double negatives, and grammar, well then

CARRY ON

Seriously, lay off the booze and get your posters straight. You aren't even making sense. As far as the "spelling" clip you posted (sort of), it was a congrats to a specific poster (re: not you) who corrected an illiterate post (not yours).
Not only was it not about you (until you jumped in and started speaking monkey), what anyone decides to post about is not your decision. You don't decide what we deem important to talk about, and you have no power.
Get over it, ignore, get a clue what you are even posting about, and move on. :p

What bigger issue, is bigger than who is driving this company? To survive, this company needs the pilot group to work with management and trust management. You bring in Ricci and his corupt bunch (hell half of them are still here) of idiots and we could have the best contract. The company will fail if management and pilots still have an adversarial relationship

Yes voice I am sorry. Did you ever consider maybe pilots use this website as a tool to decide whether or not this is a fight worth continuing? Perhaps we should focus our attentions on pilots verses management and convince all those moorons to stop doing OT. If you look at our crew ratio 4.1 per airplane (including management pilots) you would see they are getting desperately low. Every day of OT worked is another day without a CONTRACT. Why can't these guys figure that out? I am tired of wading through the bs on this site trying to figure out who is winning the war, us or them. As for me I am a regular old line pilot who rolls on ready moving at the speed of negotiations, flying the pledge with a finger on the ejection button. If your crystal ball is working,,,, well then grasshopper please enlighten us. peace

Overtime

Yeah its sad and true that there are guys still working overtime. They all have their excuses why they do it. I guess they don't understand that they are delaying the contract for a few extra bucks today. They are really taking money from their own pocket. Kind of ironic, don't ya think?

Another one bites the dust

Found this on the Floptions pilots board and it is so telling.

Hey guys and gals,

I called it quits today. It has not been fun (or safe) for a long time, but that had nothing to do with my coworkers. Flight Options formed the basis of my career and I will always be grateful for the experience gained and wisdom gleaned from so many quality aviators here.

The leadership of the 1108 has their collective heads on straight if you ask me, and their guidance is the only thing that can save this ship, but for how long can upper management be this stupid? That will determine the futures of those who stay. To the PSM's, PM's and any other management reading this board (and we know you do), you have literally sold your souls to the devil and I don't know how you live with yourselves.

The mission first, bargain basement mentality that is evidenced every day by the idiots making the decisions here is killing the business day after day, and sooner or later, one would think it is going to kill some innocent human beings.

I empathize with those of you that have your own reasons to stay, and I would never presume to tell anyone what to do. For me, this job has progressively sucked more and more of the joy out of my life and the impetus to leave just got stronger with each passing tour.

One of the best ones I flew with here used to tell me when they are this consistently poor at the business, they are either incompetent or fraudulent, it HAS to be one, you pick.

Good luck with the fight!

SS,
The person who wrote that goodbye is a great pilot and fantastic person. FLOPS has lost yet another treasure from it ever shrinking chest of great employees.

I actually know one of the guys doing overtime and keep on telling him to quit. I know he has financial troubles right now. I just keep telling him to not complain about lack of a contract if he continues to do OT. The Union is working hard to support You. Are You working hard to support your union.

I like the other poster said move at the speed of negotiations.
