Moose,

If you found others in your same shoes, would that factor in to the legal decision? These boards might be a good fishing ground for that info....

I was interviewed by AT and was also not fortunate enough to be picked up. I was also specifically asked about my "Flying for the Reserve Plans". I am not sure if this was a factor, but, who knows.... I have been trying for another interview without alot of luck...

My reserve unit had seven straight guys interview with UAL and get turned down.
Maybe they hired the gay ones.;) Sorry couldn't resist. I think now in this time of productivity, many airlines are perceptibly searching for answers to keep costs down. Hiring a pilot who will miss trips will, in their mind, conflict with the master plan of cost cutting. Yes it’s illegal and immoral, and I know of a former person in Flight Ops who said reservists were more of a pain because of having to cover there absences, and he was Ex-Air Force!

I ws turned down at AT as well. There were about 2 q's during the interview about the reserves.

"So you were in the Navy and now are going to the AF reserve?"

"How long do you think you'll do that?

These were asked in the Sim portion. I took them as general conversation.

HoursHore,

How did they know you were going to the Air Force Reserves?
