Howdy,
I may be flying a cross country in a Cardinal RG from KNEW (Narlens Lakefront) to KAAF ([size=-1]Apalachicola) [/size]for Angel Flight in about ten days. I haven't flown a lightplane in Flordia for almost 30 years, so I'm looking for some local knowlege.
I'll be flying on a Saturday. On the leg out I'll be IFR, coming back the same day I'd like to RTB VFR if possible.
What's the best way around or through the Pensacola, Eglin, and Tyndall MOAs and restricted areas to get to and from KAAF? What's up with these Eglin VFR coriodors I see on the chart?
In another life in what seems now a galaxy far far away I used to fly a lot in military airplanes in that area, so I have a good mental picture of the kind of high performance flying that the military conducts in that area.
I want to do my little flight without burning out the hobbs, but I also prefer to not become an F-15 hood oriment.
