Requalification Training

Does any one know what the Requal training consists of at any of the regionals after being on Leave for 6 months or greater?

I was furloughed for three months, but I didn't miss a recurrent. I did three trips around the pattern (the digital pattern anyway), which included two normal takeoff and visual landings and a low visibility v1 cut and single engine ILS to minimums. Between me and my partner it took 45 minutes in the simulator. Looking back I wish that I would have insisted on using the full time alloted, because I was very rusty (but not unsafe) when I returned to the line. Time and experience took care of the rust, but it would have been nice to been a little smoother coming back.

I missed a recurrent, so I'm not sure if I will just go back through a recurrent or if I will join some new hires in Initial. I have heard that many military guys on leave go through the Initial again when they return.

the 8400.10 gives airlines some guidelines. but each airlines training program is different. The numbers specified in the training program are minimums, it really depends on what going on at the airline. They could put you thru a new hire program if that's what already going on, they might just stick you in that to check all the boxes and not pay for an extra instructor to put you thru a custom program
