Has any recurrent guys over at Chataqua heard anything to this nature? Trading some Comair CRJ's for Mesa's ERJ's? Anything???

I'm not buying it.

Why would Mesa help CHQ by giving them ERJ's when they could simply go out to the desert to get more CRJ's if they needed them? If they got rid of the ERJ's they would incur additional training costs...something JO loathes. I think this rumor of RP buying CMR is just wishful thinking on the part of CMR guys.

What we're hearing at CMR is no sale to another DCI carrier because it weakens the whipsaw.

Latest rumor is Fred gathering independent investors for a private sale after concessions are done. Keep it private for a year or two, turn big profits, have an IPO. Take it FWIW.

By the way, looks like we'll have a chance to redeem ourselves on the concessions. The company has come off of the hard number for the FA's, thus we will have to renegotiate. The vote was so close last time, they will definitely have to sweeten the deal. Our new leader is not nearly so charismatic, so we shall see...
