Can anyone confirm the rumor?

Beantown said:For PSAs sake I hope this isnt true. You guy made the right stand and you deserve these airplanes. I sure hope we (mesa) and Republic don't get them. Good luck-Bean
PropPiedmont said:The CRJ 900 pre-bankruptcy orders have not been moved over to Republic. Instead US Airways is having Republic add an additional 20 to 30 E175s to replace the CRJ900s. These will be in addition to the previous order of 30. Keeps common type and training issues out of the way.
Now, US Airways still has to negotiate with Bombardier about those 20 firm orders. With their new found capital they are able to invest in Dash 8 aircraft.
climb2slow said:do the 38 900's at Mesa apply to the 93 total since they were AWA? Just asking...or has there been a new letter since the merger?
Dorkpilot said:FWIW Supposedly Duane Woerth said he would not sign off a concessionary contract for any ALPO brothers hence CHQ would be the only company that could fly them for the low rate.
If they accepted it, CHQ would be the second operator of the 900 next to mesa and would set the "real" precedent for the 90 seat regional pay rate. Would the real airline pilots plz stand up!
AWACoff said:When AWAC had 86-100 seaters on property, our top rate was $135/hr at year 18. May I suggest that as a starting point for negotiations?
WSurf said:Funny when a 16 year Captain at US Airways on the EMB-190 Tops out at 95.00!!! You better start at 95 and then work down!!!
PropPiedmont said:But, D.P. (not double penetration) said in the August CLT Crew News session that at mainline they only have two pay scales. Widebody, which includes the 75, and narrowbody. D.P. must have grown a heart and decided to do away with the E190 pay scale and move it to the narrowbody scale. He said, "Doesn't matter how many people sit behind you, you should get paid the same." When will he make this announcement?
ALGFLYR said:I have been thinking this same thing. If US Air flys the 900's at PSA, they have to finance those A/C. Letting them go to Republic gets them out of that and leaves capital for new Dashes.
Quack said:Didn't D.P. make the comment at the last "Town Hall" B.S. about flying the 900 for 700 rates that "the days of flying larger aircraft for more money are over..." I don't care what anyone says about D.P. He might know a few more things than the rest of piss poor mngmt. USAIR used to have, but he's still in mgmnt. He is going to do everything possible to make this airline survive, and if that means cutting pay, giving more mainline flying to the contract carriers, then he is no different than anyone else...

Not to start a wholly-owned war, but wasn't the reason PSA got jets because they underbid PDT and ALG?BeCareful! said:The only reason they placed jets at PSA was because the DO328 was in need of replacement and RJ's were the only logical thing to do at that point.
