Only on Flightinfo could one person's support for another's cause be turned around into an argument...

Thanks for the support Bean. Please let your reps know you feel that way. That is the only way to turn this profession around to the right direction!

FWIW Supposedly Duane Woerth said he would not sign off a concessionary contract for any ALPO brothers hence CHQ would be the only company that could fly them for the low rate.

If they accepted it, CHQ would be the second operator of the 900 next to mesa and would set the "real" precedent for the 90 seat regional pay rate. Would the real airline pilots plz stand up!

The CRJ 900 pre-bankruptcy orders have not been moved over to Republic. Instead US Airways is having Republic add an additional 20 to 30 E175s to replace the CRJ900s. These will be in addition to the previous order of 30. Keeps common type and training issues out of the way.

Now, US Airways still has to negotiate with Bombardier about those 20 firm orders. With their new found capital they are able to invest in Dash 8 aircraft.

I have been thinking this same thing. If US Air flys the 900's at PSA, they have to finance those A/C. Letting them go to Republic gets them out of that and leaves capital for new Dashes. I don't think they can get another carrier to operate DHC-8's for them, so if they're gonna replace the old turbo-props, they're gonna have to foot the bill.

With the ability to also increase the 190's at ML, they seem to have a handle on the 90-100 seat aircraft in the system. One thing to also keep in mind, they are starting to push up againt the scope (if you can still call it that) language in the ML contract. 30 175's at Republic. Mesa operates 38 900's. Wherever these 20 900's go, that is 88 aircraft. There can only be 93 in the system. Who is gonna get the other 5??

do the 38 900's at Mesa apply to the 93 total since they were AWA? Just asking...or has there been a new letter since the merger?

Yes they do. The 93 limit was set in the transition agreement and specifically states the 93 limit is the combined total limit for both carriers or the single carrier once the integration is complete.

The LAST thing we need is more airplanes. We do not have the infrastructure to support half the airplanes we have now...much less more.

Anyone waiting for phone calls to be returned from any department in IND can attest to this. Or having the same number of Schedulers on duty that we had 3 years ago when we were half the size... Or perhaps we could start flying to a few more continents with no training...

We do NOT want more airplanes..especially different types. The CRJ's we're getting are bad enough.

When AWAC had 86-100 seaters on property, our top rate was $135/hr at year 18. May I suggest that as a starting point for negotiations?

But, D.P. (not double penetration) said in the August CLT Crew News session that at mainline they only have two pay scales. Widebody, which includes the 75, and narrowbody. D.P. must have grown a heart and decided to do away with the E190 pay scale and move it to the narrowbody scale. He said, "Doesn't matter how many people sit behind you, you should get paid the same." When will he make this announcement?
