Hey guys.
I interviewed with Republic last week and specifically asked both the CP and HR girl in the interview about what the current status of the pool was. The CP said there was no pool and the HR girl said: "well, there is a few folks in it." I guess there have been either two or three classes lined up for this Feb. Can anyone confirm or deny this info for me. Thanks - need a job.
 
I have been in the pool since the beginning of November, I also know a few others in it also, we haven't heard anything yet....
 
Hey poolies, Keep your heads up, classes going like crazy again. Big Shuttle class going this week that will clear the backlog of SAAB drivers, back to the street for more FO's after this one. RW class starts 2-27, and should be a CHQ 145 class or 2 to go with the 30 or so 145 capt. vacancies posted right now. About 12 more S5 planes scheduled, 18 or so RW still to jump the fence from U, and no more 145's scheduled to leave as of now. Considering the J4J guys, there should be around 200 FO's needed from the pool/street to fill the new seats and cover the upgrades thru summer. Good Luck..

You really think there will be 200 FO's needed through summer? I hope the growth continues! The last 3 years for me have been amazing at this comppany!

Of course, we'll be sold and I'll be out of a job in 2 years...
 
30+- planes coming in split across the 2 certs is about 300 pilots. 50% of the RW guys will (may) be J4J, so I'm thinking 20 planes worth of staffing for new guys. This is about 100 in each seat, and of course FO's are needed to replace the upgrades, so around 200 total. Could be off one way or another based on how they keep the 145's staffed, but I think that with summer coming up it's going to get busy on that side as well. The downside of the 3-certificate shuffle for mgt. (upside for us) is that there is more "slush" staffing than would otherwise be needed to assure reserve coverage on each side. Of course some of these guys may already be in the pileline or at least have offers, but we'll see what comes..
 
Do you guys know if they will have any S5 classes comin up, I already work for a 121 carrier and I'm sick of commuting. The only real reason I want to come there is to be based out ORD. Dont get me wrong, I have heard it is a good place to work (unlike eagle), but the ORD base is the main reason. I don't care if I have to sit reserve...
 
Well I've heard the classes are definately filling up. Supposedly there is a Feb 15th class, Feb 24 or 27th, and one in March is being filled as we post. The CHQ classes seem to be coming from the beginning of the pool, but the Republic/Shutt Amer classes are random order. I'm beginning to think they're pulling greatest flight time 1st and going down the line. Good luck keep treadin water!
