Maybe the aviation department is now a separate LLC from the parent company, and had to change their name. "Renkery" is a good combination of Gunthy and Renker, still recognizable yet different.

Its Fake

Sorry guys, but it's confirmed it's a fake add. There's only 1 direct marketing company that a) can afford a 2000 and an XL and b) actually operates both. That company did not place an add under its name or a pseudo name, and it certainly wouldn't place that add on skyjobs.net.

Looks like skyjobs.net went into some old NBAA listings, changed the names involved and placed fake adds.

Corporate Captain & Co-Pilot 7/14/2005

Renkery Aviation LLC is currently accepting applications for PART 91 jet captain and co-pilot positions. Renkery Aviation is a subsidiary of RKC Corporation, a privately held direct marketing company with sales in excess of 500M. Renkery Aviation is a single jet operator with a Citation Excel, yearly operations in the 400-hour range. The flight department is in its seventh year and has experienced continuous growth. New acquisition to replace the Excel is pending. Captain will share workload with Chief pilot/Flight department manager. Co-pilot will work on most flights. Most operations take place in the contiguous US with some Canada trips. New acquisition will increase exposure to include Hawaii and Europe.

Could someone explain to me the reason for someone putting a fake add on a website? Are they trying to get your personal info or something?

The fake ad is put up to make it look like the pay site has something to offer and you should pay them to see their job listings. It's the same reason they take job ads from free sites or the NBAA or whatever and put them up. That's merely sleazy, but this is actual fraud.

This ad actually appeared on aviationcareer.com, but skyjobs.net might be a front for them, sicne every third ad they run is from that board.

They are all slimeballs

I still see an ad that I placed 4 years ago make the rounds now and then. Remember, these clowns are in the business of selling subscriptions

NOT getting you hired.

The more ads they have, whether BS or not, the more likely you will pay them to see them.

I have only heard of a couple of people getting hired through ads on these type of sites.

Renkery

Thanks for all the research. I have a subscription to planejobs but I definately will not renew it. I have not received even a phone call from anyone on there in the past year.

I got 3 calls just from pushing pavement. Seems in person is still the best way.

The job sites are such a good idea and I'm sure there are several legitimate companies and offers on there, just a shame they take advantage of it to turn another dollar.

Got the Job

Just thought all of you conspiracy theory personalities would like to know a good friend of mind just got a call that he got the job!!

Well, that's very interesting! So where exactly is "Renkery Aviation?"

On the other hand if your friend's initials are MK, tell him congratulations.

So, it wasn't Guthy-Renker, then?
