As you all bicker and bitch about crappy managements, jerk-off FAA people, idiot controllers, or worse, the idiot press...

Please take a moment and remember the flight and cabin crews of
AA11 - Cap John Oganowski, FO Tom McGuiness
UA175 - Cap Vic Saracini, FO Michael Horrocks
UA93 - Cap Jason Dahl, FO Leroy Homer
AA77 - Cap Chuck Burlingame, FO David Charlebois
and their passengers (except the hijackers, for may they burn in the worst pits of hell) who made the ultimate sacrifice. While I am no longer involved in aviation, and at the age of 39 am back in college for accounting and the CPA exam, take a quiet moment to remember those who fell five years ago today.

thank you for the thread

seriously, all the stares in the terminal, blocked radio calls and bitching about each other needs to stop. these people....our brothers and sisters were killed by people who wish to kill ALL of us. look at the face of your children while they sleep, your wife when she's cooking YOU dinner or the wrinkles on your parents faces......these truly are what is important.......flying is ours job and I know we all enjoy it, but it is only a JOB. do your best, treat everyone kindly, make the most of those days off and never forget we are in this together.

I remember today and remembered with every combat sortie flown. I find it hard to watch the 9/11 coverage as I do every year. I have always thought of myself as a very stong person, but this day, every year, I shed tears. I still can't tell if they are tears of sorrow or rage, but the emotions are overpowering. I can't imagine how I will explain this date to my children some day.

God be with all of us today.

MSNBC is airing their coverage minute my minute from 2001, pretty intense to watch. Its almost sickening to hear the "live" comments and speculation and then reflect how our world has changed since then.
